Disney's Belle and Beast

So, after flipping out over articulated Disney dolls for cheap prices at the Disney store, I finally have a Beast and Belle I like (Though Tonner's Belle is AMAZING, like holy crap I need that in my life...but she's unavailable everywhere because she's no longer made ;^;) ANYWAY, I got them and here's my review (sorry for some bad quality photos):
Image
So, here's Belle and Adam(Beast). They came poorly packaged. Boxes were damaged and not to mention a totaly b*^&$ to get into. Had to destroy their boxes just to get them out, which sucks because I like to keep the boxes for storage use.
Image
Belle's feet. See that left foot (your right) right there. Looks weird huh?
Image
Super care in packaging job Disney. She looks like she broke her ankle.
Image
She's got some decent joint movement in her arms. If I was anal I could probably do work on her to make her joints better.
Image
Painted on panties and that same leg with the "broken" ankle also has a wonky hip joint. Makes it difficult her get it to move right.
Image
A little leg joint demo. She can bend at the knees too a little.
Image
This is how she sits. How un-Princess -like.
Overall she's okay for play-line dolls, but holy crap Mattel does better with Barbie. Maybe in the future I'll pop her onto an Obitsu or Volks or whatever will take her head.

Now for Adam:

Image
Oh hai cheapy boots. lol
Image
Here's his arm movement.
Image
And that's all you get with the Prince's. Basic up and down elbow joint.
Image
His Beast costume. Pretty much is gonna be a Halloween costume for any of the guys interested in wearing it. lol
Image
How he sits. I can't get his knees to bend like Belle's. :/
So yeah, he's sub-par too but again, I like him and may pop his head onto a new body in the future.

Some extra shots I got:

the always needed cat-butt photo.

They photograph nice, and make a cute couple (duh). Don't stand well all-too much. Sometimes I get lucky. Invest in a stand for these guys.

I'm hoping I can fix that ankle by training her plastic back into a normal position. I'm thinking, since her legs are this really soft and rubbery plastic, that maybe it stayed bent too long in one position. I've got it splinted basically. Here's hoping.

Actually, catshem, if you have another barbie that matches her skin with jointed legs, just swap them out. Love the jointed wrists. <3

She has a very pretty face, I hope you'll find soon a decent body for the swap to make her sitting like a princess and not like a drunken hag XD

I have have that pair and the girls come like that, good news she will fit regular Barbie clothes and shoes. I've just kept mine as they came. You can also get an outfit pack from the Disney Store with her blue dress and green dress, they have a toy store version too.

For replacement purposes she is a light caucasian color, lighter than most of the 100 poses except perhaps the girl with the dark hair and keyboard purse. The Sinatra and Elvis collector/pivotal will match as well.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw them at local mall. Thanks to your review, I'll keep my eye on them. Belle looks beautiful enough to make me want have her. :D Adam looks alright, I wish he didn't plastic hair, though.

Aesthetically they're real nice, but there does seem to be a quality sacrifice. Honestly, I love them, flaws and all.

Lol at the drunken hag comment :D

I'd also like to note that Belle's hair is amazingly soft!

I love their faces! I really wish they would give the princes real hair though, they all seem to just have the plastic hair. I love Disney stuff. :) Congrats on the new awesome dolls! Hope you are able to fix Belle's ankle. And looking forward to more spam of them!
