Neck Piece?

My BF got a 1/6 size Obitsu for Christmas, it came with a hard body and a soft head. The body comes with the hard neck piece adaptors, but from what we can gather we need the soft neck adapters that you usually get with the soft bodies in order to connect the two together properly. Is this correct? and where can we get just those adaptors?

No, you should be able to connect the head using the adapters that came with the body.

Also, pictures would help me tell you what you need to do to get the head installed.

If it gives you trouble, I recommend warming the head up a little with a hair dryer. This'll make it more flexible.

I will try to get picks tonight, poor thing just got her first wig, if we can attach her head, she would be a happier camper:-)

Sorry for the delay...you know how life is..but yay for weekend with some free time. Here is Ami with her body, head and the neck pieces that came with her, but we were not sure if they were the right one's. And seeing as originally I put her head right on the doll neck as it is now and it was hell trying to get it back off we did not want to chance it was the wrong one. We thought from the research that she needed the soft body neck piece but we are obviously still unsure:-) So yay if the one we have is actually the correct one and we can finally put her head on. Please let me know:-)

The neck pieces on the Obitsu soft body are made from the same kind of ABS plastic as the those on the normal body, the difference being a wedge-shape instead. Heating up the head with a blow dryer or hot water softens the vinyl head so it's more manageable.

I found switching the neck piece on mine to the smallest of the three "extras" (just remove the screw, pop off the old piece, pop on the new, and screw it back in) allowed a head with a similarly small neck hole size to pose better. The one the body comes with was a bit loose in that it didn't hold the head close enough to the neck to allow the friction necessary to stay in place.

OK, I had this problem with the pre-rooted female head, too.

Just take a screwdriver, unscrew the neckpiece, and put the head directly on the bare rod without the little neck knob attached to it.

(I did this with Marika, and her head is perfectly fine without with neck knob... it goes on and off easily, but doesn't randomly fall off, even if she's upside down.)

My doll's neck is still floppy even with the biggest neck piece so the one she came with is perfect depending on said head. I'd say try whichever one you feel is right. By any chance is she based on a Sailor Moon charrie?
