Okay, so my daughter's 27cm Obitsu arrived and we attempted to put the Gretel head on and . . . . well, as the title says - bobble head. How do we get the head to set properly on the neck?

1) Keep shoving the head onto the neck post.
2) If bobbling persists, switch out the neck post to the next largest size and try again.
Bobble-headed Obitsu are something we all go through at least once. XD

So the neck piece stays attached to the neck itself and then the head gets "shoved" onto it as opposed to unscrewing the neck piece and sliding it into the neck and then screwing it on, right? I've tried both, actually. I've even tried the next larger neck piece but it's too big. I'm a bit concerned about getting that overly flexible soft bust "skin" dirty, too . . . . it's soft all the way up her shoulders, too.

I had the same problem with my soft busted Obitsu girls, too. It only appears to be too big. Warm up the neck hole with a hair dryer (be careful to cover the hair while doing this or you may melt it!) and shove the head on. If you're worried about dirtying the vinyl, wash your hands really well before handling her and give the vinyl a good wash after you're done, too.

Edit - Okay - tried it and it worked! Now - I just need to figure out why the 8mm eyes I have won't fit in her eye sockets . . . .

The 8 mm will fit. But its a tight fit. I have a nano gretel head as well and I actually broke the backs off the eyes while inserting them. It does not affect how they look so I am ok with it but I should have used a hairdryer to soften the sockets first. You could also carefully cut slits in the sockets from inside the head to make it easier. Just go slow and be careful not to cut too far down or you will damage the head.

My daughter managed to get the eyes in the sockets somehow - without damaging either eyes or sockets, luckily. So now we have a steady head and eyes - just waiting for her Tinybear wig now.

I have dealt with the eye sockets before. it is definately a good Idea to slit the sockets halfway down. this allows for ease of installing and removing the eyes without screwing up the faceup. go real slow so you wont cut too far, and use a really sharp blade so you dont have to push hard, this will give you alot more control.
