Dollieh Sanctuary

I've been getting majorly inspired by all the ooak monster high painters on the internet especially those who have been doing anime style eyes on these girls. On top of this I'd been wanting to do Gijinka(human anime) versions of the my little pony cast. Origionally I was going to go with the obitsu prerooted Neko heads and various bodies but I kept returning to the idea of their uniquely colored bodes and how I'd be representing that with their human forms. So with much deliberation I've decided to try repainting monster high dolls as the main cast of My Little Pony friendship is magic. The hardest part is deciding weather or not to use the monster high girls I already own or go out and buy new ones.

What doll for which pony?

For Pinkey Pie a Draculaura base I already have a gloom beach one at home but she was my first mh doll and I love her XD her eyes are perfect which is why Im debating so hard to wipe them. thinking of getting my hands of that 3 eyed monster set for the pink curly wig.


For Rainbow dash an Abby Abomatable base her hair seems like it'd be easily colored and it already has some colored streaks in it. Though I think I'd prefer my rainbow dash to have short hair. I'm also debating on using lagoona as Rainbow because of her adorable eye shape and how awesome a dance of the dead mohalk look in rainbow..


For Apple Jack a Torelei base though I think that'll wait because that doll seems way to hard to find right now. @-@ I'll wait untill they release another if they ever do..



For Rarity Im having the hardest time deciding because she's my favorite so I want her to be perfect. Its between Ghoulia I have the dead tired version.The make your own monster kit dragon seeing as rarity seems a little grey when comapired to princess celestia in the series...

For Fluttershy again Im debating between the make your own monster kits this time the bee/insect kit with its yellow arms and legs but I hate how they haven't come out with yellow bodies, and the blackened feet and hands I don't really like, so that's another one that'll have to wait.


As for twilight sparkle they haven't come out with a purple mh doll so I was planning on waiting untill one appeared XD
If things go well I hope to have them all finished in a year, starting with pinkey pie, and rarity then rainbow dash If any one has any advice or sees any pony/monster high mashups link me and feel free to suggest and add to my project! I feel like Ill need alot of help ^^

All I can say is I recommend going with Lagoona for Rainbow Dash. Abbey is practically extinct everywhere but Ebay. I'd say buy up new dolls since sometimes it can be hard to replace an MH doll. The Day at the Maul UlaD has an outfit that looks like something Pinkie would wear.

As for Rarity you could go for a Cupid and paint her limbs. Other then that good luck.

Isn't Operetta purple?

opretta is more pink I think.

I really want to make a nightmare moon MH repaint. ontop of the goddess from the little talks video. but first I have to find dolls!

Operetta seems purple enough for Twilight and there is also Spectra for Rarity, she even has purple hair already. Unfortunately for Fluttershy, short of painting, the only thing I can think of is Cleo, even tho it isn't really that close.

I don't have any suggestions, but I love this idea and can't wait to see how they come out!

Thanks for the interest every one! Your suggestions are great, I was actually thinking of using Spectra for twilight, Opretta is a great idea though. When I saw her irl she was pink but the more I research her there seems to be some that are more purple. @-@

Im a little torn but this project is gunna take so long to complete that with luck they just might come out with a dark purple doll.

Things are looking up for Fluttershy I was researching more and there's a monster lab kit that comes with a full yellow body!! Torso legs and arms. Im thinking of asking for my family to order me one for my birthday ^^ if not one of the multipule doll sets (I love dawn of the dance clawdeen i just want one to have ).

knittnkitten- A nightmare moon monster high doll would be so cute!! Theres another make your won monster kit that's dark blue the sea monster but your gunna have the same problem with me and the bee kit for fluttershy no matching torso...

Alopecia No Hime- I already have the day at the maul set Were you thinking of the draculaura outfit? I thought the same thing about those pink shoes. XD I was planning on styling her as a rave girl XD tutu and fluffies and kandi after all pinkey loves to party!!!

Spectra would definitely make a better Rarity. All you would have to do is make the whites of the eyes white and find the right outfit.

for things that don't match, testors has alot of little spray paints for plastic models. :3 I figure if I'm careful I can spray em all the same color.

I'm getting some where in this monster high doll collection guys! Toralei and Lagoona were birthday presents. The stores around home are having a few and far between dolls so it looks like I'll be able to pick up some doubles soon! Having all these diffrent girls at home is extiting, Im excited to start sketching for this project, its alot easier when you already have the models.
