1/6 Dioramas WIP

I finally got my plexglass display case on which I'll make two 1/6 dioramas. The left one is a studio but is still missing a desk, some windows and frames on the wall... And the right one is a...spaceship! (yes I'm quite a sci fi addict... ^^) It's missing more parts than the studio (as I have to build them) but I'll take a WIP picture of it too! For now I only have the pics of one as the "spaceship" is maily made of clear plastic objects and needs a particular light to be photographed! ^^'

About this diorama:
-the chairs and bookshelf/dresser are Sindy furniture found used on ebay (I think they were produced in the '80)
- the sofa is a chinese jewelry box
-the carpet is a mousepad
-the walls and floor are decofix sheets
(and the things on the shelfs have most different origin XD)

...this time pictured with the room owner (that as usual disapeares on the background like a ghost..) -_-'

Do you know where I can find some small 1/6 frames at good prices to hang on the wall?

Looks lovely! I love dioramas. I think I've seen the carpet mousepad in a gift shop but it was quite expensive, like $20 or something!

Thank you! I tried to watch the frame tutorial but the video blocks at 0:36.. :( I'll check again later!

Yes it was a bit expensive... a cheaper alternative could be printing a carpet picture. I't not soft and it's more flat but I think in the 1/6 scale the thickness is not that important (...a paper sheet it probably is more in scale than this thick mousepad ) XD

Wow! Your living room diorama looks already amazing, Nko! Seems really "victorian" and fits Elizabeth a lot!
I'll search for Sindy furnitures too when I'll manage to get some free space in my room to put them -_-

That curio cabinet is wonderful!!

As for things to hang on the wall - the scrapbooking section at a hobby store has alot of interesting things that could work for wall decorations. As for myself, I prefer to just print off things I find from the internet and put them on matting board for framing or foamcore, just to give them a sort of three dimensional feel!

It's a lovely elegant little room!

That's a great looking little room. Sindy obviously had better looking furniture than Barbie!

I'll second scrapbook paper. There's plenty that looks like wall paper and they're getting more creative with the theme pads.

And I want to see the space ship!

Thank you very much! I'm happy I manage to make it look in some -whatever- style!
Do you have a library? Maybe the books on one shelf can go in the cellar... >_>
*gives bad advices to create some free space*

Thank you! ^^ I already found a drawing of two twins in oval frame I'd like to print but I think I have to ask the artist permission before...

Yes! The strange thing is that while the single furniture pieces are great, the complete house isn't that great as the walls have too barbie-like pastel colors! XD http://www.lilsdolls.se/mojoh/sindy/closet/sindyhou.htm
Btw to someone know if this doll was produced in England only or if they use to sell her in other countries too?

I'll search in scrapbooking websites, I already found the tiny eyelets I needed to make some clothes for my dolls there! ^o^
Yesterday I completed the "sofa bed" and the lab table of the spaceship. Today I wanted to take a picture but it was too cloudy.. T_T
