Lucien has sadly departed...

Postby Lamia of the Dark » Mon Apr 09, 2012 10:52 pm

His soul just wasn't taking root... and I was too lazy to finish his scars and tattoo... So I scrubbed off all the paint from where I started his scars...

... and Hobo Phoenix was quick to move into the vacant body.

I used some gray eyes that I already had, and found most of an outfit that will work for him. He pretty much just needs a gray hoodie and a cheap black fur wig, and he'll be set.

I don't know what's up with my dolliehs lately... a lot of identity changes seem to be going on.

>_> spring cleaning of souls?
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Its happens. Just gotta accept it. Sometimes the sculpt just don't work until you change a new one and sometimes character in question just refuse to be a doll and heads back to being 1/12 or back into the headspace.
I had 2 dolls that play up their lone wolf character too well and booted themselves out.

You might want to keep an eye out for Ken clothing pack, there was a grey hoodie with blue flame/tribal design in one of the series and I snagged one.

I'll keep my eye out for that, thanks.

There seems to be a Spring Cleaning Of Souls going on at my house, cause one of my Bitty Bitsus just changed identities too. And it looks like Anya (Obitsu/Volks hybrid) and Nerisa (Volks EB) aren't going to stick around much longer, either.

I've given up trying to determine who my dolls will be. It's happened too many times that they just refuse to take on the identity I had planned for them, the little shits. So now I just wait and have THEM tell me who they are.

Cirquemom - that's exactly what I do now too! I usually get something thinking "hmm maybe this will be so-and-so" but it's never set until they arrive and say "Here I am!!"

I like the idea of "spring cleaning of souls".

So true...Sometimes dolls just don't wanna be who they are.

Haruhi was supposed to be Haruka's ten year old sister with honey blonde hair. She was silent for so long that it took the 11cm body coming out for her real self to appear. Six year old firey redheaded little witch to be.

Riven was supposed to be a Hujoo wings.

The ones that just sit around and never DO anything, and never speak to me, are the ones that end up getting identity-reassignment surgery.

Some of my dolliehs (Cassiel, Lothaire, Rosiel) had no problem becoming the beloved characters from some of my favorite books and anime, but other dolliehs were highly resistant to doing that (Clover, Nova) or just ended up sitting there like a lump on log and never speaking to me (Anya, Lucien, Isabel) :x

Oh, well... I guess I'll just have to stop "planning" and let them tell me who they want to be...

Once you let them start down that path. It never ends. Most of my dolls are introduced by the existing ones, there's now a mix of customed character dolls based on comics and games and OCs who are based on plushies.
Although Kula surprise me by stealing a head and refusing to leave. I have another character that has this 'I want to be your doll!' attitude but I'm letting him go on the 1/4 or 1/3 slot since he's a narcissistic bishonen (and that anything bigger than 1/6 takes longer to happen   )

Well, I'm probably going to keeping on making characters from my favorite books, anime, and video games... whether or not they decide to keep their identities will be a different matter... :?

Some of my dolls I plan from the beginning who they are going to be... others I randomly buy because they're pretty... and some souls randomly pop up shouting their names at me while they are floating heads or floating bodies...
