What brands of 1/6 scale dolls do you have? For example Obitsu, Volks, Dragon, Takara, Mattel, or if you don't know who made them you can say Bratz, the mom from Hairspray, GI Joe etc. Just want to get an idea of which ones there are out there, outside Barbies.

Obitsu, Volks, Mattel, Dragon, with a few Sideshow figures thrown in, a few Hasbro (Star Wars) figures, and one BBI Cy-Girl. But the ones most in use (and not packed away right now) are Obitsu, Volks and Dragon. I may be looking at some other action figures in the future...

Though there are two ways to look at this kind of question: Are you talking mass-market (available in toy stores) or more collector/hobby dolls (available more online or specialty order)?

I've never seen Obitsu, Volks, or Dragon figures available in stores -- they're not intended for mass-market the way Mattel or Hasbro products are (at least not in the US). So the mass-market brands are really the "most common" overall, but may not be the brands (or at least not the ONLY brands) that people who are REALLY into dolls or action-figure collecting and modding, etc. are likely as interested in.

Just curious what people have and it's a bit for my pattern making, so it can be both. I know there are Barbies everywhere, my curiosity is if there are X amount that are fairly common to make an idea I have worthwhile.

Hmm... On my shelves, Volks, Obitsu, Mattel, MC Toys (Power Team Elite), one lone Bratz, also an 80s Madame Alexander if that's close enough to 1/6. All are boys except for the Bratz, Madame Alexander and a Barbitsu.

In the box of dolls in my closet: many more Barbies, Darci, a Princess Leia that is very similar to Darci, some sort of Disney Channel guy I don't recognize with a nonfunctional speaker, a guy by "Placo", Bratz boys, a My Scene, some High School Musical girls.

One Juku Couture inside of a ferret puppet.

My daughter has a new 27cm Obitsu with a Gretel head and a Hujoo Berry (if that qualifies). I'm expecting a 25cm Obitsu any day now that I hope to be able to fit my FL Cupid multihead on (I might be asking questions on just how to do that soon).

Don't forget the Liv dolls. They're fairly new but the quality simply amazes me.
