The Dolls that Go Bump in the Night (Lots of Pics)

Postby KC12344325 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:11 pm

Hello! I've decided to share some of my dolls. I have a decent collection of Living Dead Dolls, and I want to show some of my babies off. ^_^ Warning: if you didn't catch the drift, these dolls are horror themed. One in particular (her name is Gretel) is especially gruesome, however I have been notified that they are all quite scary. Proceed to scroll down at your own risk.

Here is Sunday. She jumped off the top of a tree because her mother told her she was a angel, so she thought she could fly.

This is Gretel. In this twisted version of the fairytale, the witch never tried to eat Hansel; they ate her. (I have Hansel, but I already filled up my monthly limit on Flickr, so here is Gretel.)

Here are my first three ladies (this is before I got my T3i) from left to right: Rotten Sandy (parody of Raggedy Anne), Catrina, and Posey. Sandy and Catrina's deaths are unclear, however Posey was buried alive.

Better pic of Sandy...

*Sigh* I don't have very many good pictures of my dolls on my Flickr, but when I'm able to upload again I'll post some, and maybe some (better) pics of my Little Apple Dolls. ^_^ Ciao!
Most of my dolls are scary, but don't worry! They wont bite.

I really like Gretel and Catrina. :D

I use Photobucket for most of my pictures.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Thank you! Gretel's a cutie, and Catrina's my favorite. :)

My only beef with Photobucket is that once you upload something, you have no copyright whatsoever. Most wouldn't care much about this (especially if they're novice photographers like me), but I want my photos to... well... remain MINE. I know with my current photography skill level they aren't worth much, if anything, but down the road it's better to be safe than sorry. :)

However... Flickr is kind of where I dump all my unedited photos so in case something happens to my computer I'll still have them in their unedited, unsized glory. XD I upload my "edited" photos to my deviantART.

Haha, scaring people with them is half the fun! :D

These are adorable and I love horror stuff so I have given major thought to them. But they don't have much by way of articulation, do they? That kind of stops me though I have been giving serious thought to getting one of the green ones. They look far brighter than the Tonner color but I think I like green colored skin on dolls. I wouldn't mind a little kid witch to go with my Tonner basic witches. Might be cute. No articulation though? That's a deal breaker for me.

There are two body types: the "old" body (Series 1-8 plus older exclusives), and the "ball-jointed" body (Series 9 and onward). The old body has a head that can look left and right, arms that can move forward and backwards, and legs that sit in a straddle position. The ball-jointed body has a head that can pivot on the neck, arms that can pivot on the shoulders (as demonstrated by Gretel), and arguably them same leg system. They're not very articulated, yes, but they still can pull off some creepy poses. ^_^ (It should be noted that they don't balance very well, especially without shoes. Also, some have "wonky leg syndrome," where one leg is slightly longer than the other, or the doll just wont stand up straight. My Catrina has this, but she still stands, just with a large arc in her back.)

By "green ones," do you happen to mean Abysynth, Faith, or the Pyschobilles? (Billy and Jilly are hard to find, JSYK.) I can't think of any other green dolls ATM. ;)
