Time for Sealer to dry on Obitsu?

So I've been working on my first custom doll, she has this body, basically:


I did a full repaint on the chest, which disconnects from the torso, and I used this sealer on it:

It's been close to 2 days, and it's still sticky. Granted, we had our AC broken for most of that time, and it's been hot, but I even tried putting it in the fridge for a while. So after like 48 hours it's still sticky, is that normal? How long should I expect it to take to dry? I have it placed in a well ventilated area now, and our house is cooler again. I tried to follow the directions on the spray and don't think I overdid it.

Any advice would be very helpful, I'm still so new at this and don't know what to expect. Thanks.

Oh god. Yeah, I've never had good luck with that ZM spray on Obitsu bodies. Doesn't seem to harm the head, but it won't dry on the soft vinyl torsos.
I have like 3-5 dolls that got sprayed with it about 3 years ago, they're still sticky and worse, picking up tons of grime. One of these days I'll get around to cleaning them off, but I won't know if the spray has done permanent damage until then.

So I've crossed that stuff off my list of sealants I like. Bleh.

I would just use acetone on the soft vinyl to remove it (don't put it on the hard plastic, though), that way you can be sure it's all gone. Give it a light wash in dish detergent afterward to remove any remaining stubborn residue. If you spray over it, it will just continue to be sticky and could flake off or crack since the base is unstable.

MSC is the only thing I've found for soft vinyl that won't cause a sticky mess!

I'm so glad this came up before my doll arrived....
You all just saved me a lot of trouble and heartache with my first doll arrival. That would have been a sucky first experience... I'm surprised I didn't catch that tidbit anywhere with all the reading I've been doing lately.

Be REALLY careful with acetone on soft vinyl too though!! I've done some fun experiments with that combo and unless you WANT fun stuff to happen, don't use it LOL. I'd use non-acetone nail polish remover, although, that stuff can't be used on hard plastic either, so I have noticed

Ok, so to be clear, whatever I use to remove this, it's going to take my paint off too isn't it? =( Can I still use this spray on the hard plastic parts? Also, what is "MSC?" Where do I get it?

Try to also use MSC in a low humidity enviornment, otherwise it'll possibly get sticky as well.

find a brush on sealer. Reaper has a decent one, and it wont be sticky.

it's not just sealers, anything in an aresol can i find makes soft vinyl sticky as hell. i forgot to remove the hands when i basecoated Thana in brown, and had to scrub an hour to get the dang paint back off and unsticky it. which, btw, steel wool works greaat for if you dont mind risking scratching the vinyl a bit.
