1/6th scale props

Postby Exmember » Tue Sep 04, 2012 2:01 am

Anyone know where I can get props for my dolls in one sixth scale (play scale) everything I've found in the way of props are either 1/3 or 1/4 scale or are cheap nasty second hand Barbie acessories. Anyone know where I can't some nice props for my dolls. Mainly some laptops, iPads etc in 1/6th scale and some weapons, but really anything except food (there's tons of scale food online) and plastic toys (ican get small action figures and small ponies easily)

Yard sales and flea markets are great for finding stuff like doll-sized furniture!
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

The problem is that they're aren't that many of them around my area. Thanks for your help though, I might try some of the newer suburbs as the chances of children living there are higher and therefore so are chances of doll stuff.

A lot of eBay sellers have 1/6 props intended for diorama or action figures; there are even some specialized sites. The firsts that comes in my mind are http://www.gijoeelite.com/f_home.asp and http://www.war-toys.com/. I usually buy from asian sellers on eBay, like http://stores.ebay.it/Minibarbie-Boutique?_rdc=1 because I'm in Italy and they have the best shipping fee to my country.

If your problem with Barbie and fashiond dolls props is their absurd colors, consider repainting them! You need to find a good primer for plastic, but you can have very good results.

There's monkey depot.com and war-toys.com and urbansamuraihobbies.com for 1/6 stuff.

Urban Samurai have unofficial iStuff, some sellers on Ebay have knock-off iPads.

ToyAnxiety.com also sells parted out play-scale accessories and weapons from action figures. Action figures are the way to go for weapons.

I've had some great props come from my old Barbie tubs. I have a nice outdoor set of chair, bench, and table that are in a nice neutral wood color, and I have some great school desks. Some things can be a little out of scale, depending on the type of dollieh (bjd vs action figure vs fashion doll).

Search for Re-ment or Puchi Petites, they make more realistic looking accessories than Mattel. Most are food but they have a few non-food sets like

Electrical Appliances 2 http://www.etradersplace.com/osc/rement ... -1599.html
