My first!

Postby HelloAngel » Thu Sep 13, 2012 7:31 pm

Not only is Celia my first doll since I was 12 but she's my first face-up too! Well if we're being technical it's my third - first I used the incorrect sealer and she ended up all dewy, second she cracked really badly when I inserted her eyes (I thought it might have been the hair dryer that did it), and her current face is the third but it has cracked too (no hair dryer was used so can't be that) so I'm going to have to try again but for now I'm happy-ish with her :) I carved her eye holes a bit bigger and did some damage to her lips when I was scraping out some old face up (have a new head on the way), the photos are a little over processed, her lips are not this intense lol.

What do you think?

Nice work! I think the lips turned out very well :) I'm sure they still look really great even not-photoshoped.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

She does have a piercing gaze doesn't she.... I need to get her some nice eyes, these are just cheap plastic ones. Eyes (and other doll parts) are hard to find here in NZ so I'd have to order some from overseas and if I'm going to do that I should make it a big order which means I need to start saving :D

Thanks!

I love big eyed girls and the heads stock eyehole size was a bit small for my liking, I thought I may have ruined her but after putting her face on I think it worked ok :)

She's so cute! I really love her faceup and how the colors go with her awesome hair. Is she 25cm? Kinda makes me want to get one, too. She looks like a little fairy. ^_^

I really like her eye-makeup. It's bold but not overpowering. :3

Cheers! She wasn't what I wanted when I brought her but she was readily available to me and more importantly affordable as a start and now I'm in love with her! She is very petite just like you'd imagine a fairy to be :) She's a 21cm!

Thanks, originally I had made her face-up very neutral but when I though I had ruined her face I decided why be shy and I think it's paid off :D Have a new face coming but I think I'll have to get another body as well to make her a little friend!
