This is Hujoo Freya (a Junky Spot exclusive). I had actually bought green Glib Character eyes from Junky Spot to go with her. They looked nice, but then I saw I had some pink glass eyes stashed away in a doll box. The eyes were from some doll I'd had 6-7 years ago and sold. I love how they look on Freya, so they're hers now. I never did get around to taking pictures of her in the green Glib eyes. LOL.

This doll has a plastic insert that goes in her head that can hold the eyes in without having to use putty. The problem with it is (with half-round eyes, at least) it forces the eyes into a forward-only position. So, if you want upturned eyes like in my photos, or side-glancing eyes, then you'd have to use putty any way. I only tried using the plastic insert with half-round eyes, so it might be different for round eyes. Don't know.

The eyelashes I'm using are the smaller-sized lashes sold at Junky Spot. (They have a couple of sizes; these are the smaller sized ones.) I used acrylic paint and watercolor pencil for the faceup.

I also reviewed Freya for my blog, here: http://dollypanic.blogspot.com/2012/10/ ... freya.html.

Very cute! I'm gathering supplies to try my first faceup on my kitty girls.

So pretty! I was wondering how she will be once painted, now I'm even more sure about ordering one for me (even if she will probably be a white one...) that's really a good job!

Thanks. I used to be such crap at painting doll faces, but I've gotten a little bit better at it over the years. I'm still afraid to do too much to the face, because I have a difficult time painting nice lines (such as for eyeliner).

What a sweet face! Simple, but so effective.

She's so cute, I got my BF a white one for Christmas, he's so excited(he already knows about her but isn't allowed to have her unit our Tea Time Dolly Party in December with our other dolly loving friends). He;s debating about having stripes and such painted on her:-)

LOL. I did blush her ears; it's just really faint. I used watercolor pencil inside the ears and then rubbed it/blended it with a cotton ball so it would look like a faint application of pastel chalk. It doesn't show up in the pics very well. :D
