My Freya with new colored pencils

Postby LadydracoWD » Mon Nov 05, 2012 8:07 pm

I recently got a new set of watercolor pencils and did Bastet's face-up. I have found I like using pencils and pastels much more than paint when doing a face-up...

And yes, the eyebrows are supposed to be offset... I was trying to give her a curious look, like she is raising her eyebrow in a questioning manner...

And here is my WIP Spirit Of Winter Hujoo Jackie on top of the lid of my pencils...

Black Moon kitty!! I'm sorry if that wasn't your intent, but that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the upside down crescent mark. :) She's very cute, and I do think she looks curious, and looks like she is raising her eyebrow at me(probably for the Black Moon kitty remark ;))

And I like the snowflakes on you little Hujoo, very nice clean lines. :D

Yay! Good job!

I never actually use paints when I do face ups, my hands aren't steady enough to correct mistakes...

Either way, I found that I can actually paint with pastels too. Just dip the brush lightly in water, then coat it in pastel dust, and paint! What's nice about that is that the color goes on more richly and you can correct your mistakes easily with an kneaded eraser.

I got the idea from the Dark Moon clan, but I don't intend for her to be a Sailor Moon character... ^_^

And thank you everyone for the comments! ^_^
