A Well-Balanced Couple!

While I was taking pics today, I thought I'd see if Johnny and Cherry could do a piggyback pose free-standing.

Guess what?

No props, no leaning, no rubber bands. I'm so proud of my kids. :D

Thanks! Getting them balanced was a little tricksy, but once they were settled, they were a lot more solid than I thought they would be. Then again, Johnny's always been a bit of a showoff. :B

Since I've been taking pictures of him, I've really been struck at how handsome Johnny really is. I mean, look at him.

Is it any wonder Ri-ri fell so hard for him?

Cherry is a Moxie Teenz Melrose head with swapped-in violet eyes on a Liv Daniela first wave body. Johnny is a Liv Jake with the hair derooted, the scalp holes mod-podged and painted over, and wigged with a custom-cut Sophie wig.

I really am amazed at how well-balanced the dolls are when they're standing. How many other mass-market dolls could do a piggyback pose without any exterior support?

I bet a Monster High boy and girl could do it too... I shall have to test the theory.

Oh OK, I see how I got a little confused XD Love, love, love the LIV Jake....I will miss the hell out of that line. :( I had not thought of putting a Moxie Teenz head on a LIV body though proportionally that makes total sense (and now makes me kinda want to put my Melrose on a LIV body....though her Kimono would no longer fit LOL).

More reasons I will miss that line. :( What a waste. :/

And the results of my experiment:

^ Talus and Astral (MH Jackson & MH Spectra)

It did take me a few minutes to find the position in which they balanced well enough to stay standing - but once they were set, they stayed standing until I picked them back up.

Hooray! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!

Piggyback stances for everybody!
