They came from little sister's Barbies...

Updates as I finish bathing and doing what I can for a few dolls. My sister let me go through her Barbies she hasn't touched in 20 years and lo and behold I found where a few things have been hiding.

The biggest miracle is this poor girl.

Who turns out to be a vintage Licca.

Still working to get the marks off her body. The tip of her nose is missing and the ends of her fingers on one hand but it's a vintage Licca! For now she'll get to stay.

*Her mysterious princess friend turns out to be Kenner 1991 Miss America Blair. I have the sash, need to check which if any of the gowns are hers.

If you don't mind potentially decreasing her value while doing repair (I'm no doll repair expert so I don't know what will and won't there), I know a way you can rebuild her nose.

Lately I've been doing a lot of facial modification on old Barbie heads, and what I use is Red Devil brand All Purpose Caulk. I picked it up at Family Dollar in one of the toothpaste-like tubes that don't require a caulk gun. It's basically acrylic latex with a little silicone. It bonds well to the vinyl and I've even removed doll heads I've modded and not have the stuff crack or split off. Use a pushpin to make the hole in the end when you open a new tube instead of cutting part off like you would for actual caulking. Add a little dab to replace the end of her nose. It can be sanded a little when dry to touch up the shape. The catch is, it'll be white and you'd have to paint or blush to match her skin tone.

With Licca I'm going to finish cleaning her as gently as possible then leave her as-is. The nose doesn't bother me and one thing I know about old dolls is when in doubt don't do anything. Her hair is good and with a little searching I might discover I have her clothes.

*Miss America looking about as well as she's going to get.

More pics of dolls and clothes. http://dolfielittles.typepad.com/blog/2 ... brush.html Keeping Licca, Pizazz, Michael Jackson, and the Maxie dolls, and non NKOTB clothes. There's still teen Skippers and some more to be found because there's an outfit for Joe but no Joe and other missing pieces.

If you know what an outfit is or who it belongs to I'd appreciate the help. The non vintage stuff would date from very late 80s in to the 90s.

Black hair, red lips, big gold earrings- a Steffie face Western Stampin' Tara Lynn! And she's elbowing a Kira/Miko.

Generally none of the hair is looking too great. Most of these gals are from the 90s and the hair is dried out and crappy, my Skippers have the same problem, so I have to think through who gets make overs and who doesn't.

The pair of Maxies, no idea which ones they are as it doesn't look like there's any clothes or they haven't been found yet.
