Snow Day (We mean it this time!)

As some of you may know, we live on the Gulf Coast, in Mobile, Alabama, about 150 miles east of New Orleans, or as we fondly call it, "Hurricane Central". Snow is a very rare occurrence in these here parts; in fact, the last actual snowfall we had was back in 1996. The entire city is shut down right now--literally. The mayor, the governor, AND the sheriff are telling everyone to STAY THE PHUOC OFF THE ROADS. Right now it's 20 degrees F outside with a windchill of EIGHT.
So, of course, Emby grabs her phone, her dolls, and goes out to take a few snaps. XD
The dolls are...less than enthusiastic.
Cherry is not AT ALL used to standing on an icy crust. Johnny has to hold her steady. I wanted them to build a snowman, but since the crust is mostly ice and frozen solid, that's not an option. Even if I scrape up enough to make a handful, it doesn't stick together because it's just too solid.
These are the times when Riri is very, very happy she has a nice WARM husband.
The obligatory birdbath pic. At least Cherry doesn't have to worry about falling in. In fact, she seems to be admiring the view around the neighborhood--it's admittedly pretty, in a HOLY CRAP IT'S COLD kind of way. Johnny, on the other hand, seems to be glaring at the photographer for putting them through all this for the sake of a photo-op. But promises of going back inside and hot chocolate all around (with marshmallows!) keeps him from threatening to kill me in my sleep.
