Hello there fellow dollieh lovers! I have a rather specific question as the title implies...See, there is an Isul doll that has clothing that I would dearly love to pilfer for an Obitsu Slim Male. The clothing is on the loose side (long sleeves, billowy pants, etc), but like with the Taeyang, I'm not positive that the size would work...does anyone have a somewhat definitive size reference for the Isul vs. the Obitsu Slim Male? A side by side comparison perhaps, or clothing swapping stories? I'm prepared to buy a Taeyang to steal the clothes for an Obitsu Slim Male provided that the Taeyang I bought who has similar clothes does a successful swap, but if the Isul fits as well I could be pretty well on the way to completing a bunch of customs I want, and be able to save money/time because the clothes are pre-made. If it's a "close fit" I can always let out the clothing as well, so I'd love to hear if this is possible. Any help at all is appreciated as always everyone!

So with my deductions I personally don't think an outfit tailored for an Isul will have any chance of fitting on a Slim Obitsu male as the size difference is simply much too big. A taeyang outfit would be baggy on a Slim Obitsu but it's easier to take in the clothing then trying to make something fit on a body that is longer and wider than the intended body.

Good Lord....why does that look like a heck of a lot more than 2cm difference!? Thank you so much for the comparison photos. Yeah....even with the extremely baggy nature of the particular clothes on the particular Isul I want I doubt there's ANY way that it's going to fit. *Sigh* It's a complicated outfit too so it's going to cost me an arm and a leg to get customized and my friend/seamstress may beat me over the head for suggesting it to her. But...with the Isul's wider shoulders and the fact that the outfit is baggy....I keep getting the nagging sense that at least the top half will fit decent enough...I'd really need to see an Isul body next to an Obitsu Slim to get a better sense of the scale before I take the plunge and buy a $150+ doll to mug for a top though! Ugh, the clothes are so baggy that it's really throwing off my already admittedly shoddy sense of scale. On the other hand, the Taeyang I plan on mugging is basically half naked anyway and the clothes are designed to be loose fitting on the character so that works in my favour!

If anyone has an Isul and an Obitsu Slim, a side-by-side would be so much appreciated. I'm being thrown off because the Isul has wide shoulders and a decently long torso which makes me think (hallucinate?) that the outfit, being loose, could work, at least the top half (which would cut out most of the work for my poor friend!)....I fail at scale!

If the clothing isn't form fitting I think you could get away with the fit (especially since you can disassemble the Obitsu, slip on the clothes then reassemble the body) but I only own one body and not the Isul. Maybe if you post the Isul in question people can see what youre trying to accomplish?

Kd why in the world would you call that shoddy?! Thank you so much for doing that!! Even though I know it's not "100%" to scale it really answers my questions. I think my seamstress friend might kiss you! The top half of the outfit is definitely going to work. I'm not holding out for the pants/boots but I think I could even perhaps sneak those by with a little fabric stitched into them. I don't mind being the guinea pig for this anyway. If I'm completely wrong about the scale I'll report back, but if it does fit...well, I'm happy!

But how big around are they? Can you get bust-waist-hip measurements for the Isul? If he's thinner than a Slim the clothes might not be able to fit at all.

In my history of measuring guys I've found the Slim to be a size category of his own. Clothes for the Volks Neo Goh will fit, some clothes for the Takara Jeff or Licca Papa might work.

I think I'm still missing something. The bodies look too close for those measurements to be completely right. I'm not suggesting the Obitsu will automatically fit in the clothes but there is just something weird with the Isul body. The clothes I'm interested in are all really baggy too (like they look ridiculous on the Isul they're so loose) so I'm tempted to see if I can get away with a clothing swap. If anyone speaks mathematical-like and can demystify me on the measurements comparisons I would be grateful. MC be stoopid with the maths.

about the measurements some are taken differently; for example the chest measurement in the picture is the width, a measurement of just the front of the chest, while the obitsu chest measurement is the circumference, the distance around the whole chest. Also the legs were measured differently, Isul from the outside and obitsu from the inside, which makes the obitsu seem to have a more similar leg length to isul than it actually does.

<-----Yeah, I'm not expecting any pants to fit. They seem quite baggy but it all seems rather iffy.

<-----Yeah, I know, those are the only measurements I can seem to find! It's a pain to be sure but I can't seem to find a better comparison. The chest/shoulder width seems similar enough....I'm thinking this may be one of those things where I just need to bite the bullet and try! Worse comes to worse I need to modify a little clothing, something far past due anyway.

By the time you modify clothes, especially if you've paid quiet a bit of money for them, you'd be better off making them or having someone else make them.
