Volks. They are beautiful. Your new doll is super cute. Too bad they pose so poorly. Wonder if it would be possible to strip them down and put Obitsu skeletons inside the softer vinyl parts?

Trethowan, you might be thinking of MDD, Mini Dolfie Dream. This little guy is MSD, and pure resin. I know, hard to envision ME getting more resin when I'm such a vinyl lover. Much to my annoyance, Volks doesn't yet make any vinyl boys, just girls. I'm sure that if they did make a boy, it'd give obitsu a run for their money. XD

I know that K2 shoved the internals of a 50cm into an MDD, and named it Pinky. So, it's possible to do, expensive, but totally do-able. Fortunately to get something along those lines of adorableness, Parabox has the 40cm. ^.~

To fix Nicky's posing issues, it's probably a case of adjusting the tension, giving him a thorough round of sueding, and in a worst case scenario, wiring him.

Is it weird to say that Nicky has some assembly things going on that I haven't SEEN before? o.O;;;

Arrow, you might be right about him being a male SWD Myu. Though, still going to throw a few photos of him to elitist... err I mean, volks experts on DoA. Who knows, they might even be able to point me at what he *originally* looked like. Wouldn't that be novel? ^.~

When I first saw his cost, the first thing that went through my head was "What is horribly wrong with the doll?"; second was "Is he stolen?" I talked to the gal selling him, turned out that she just REALLY wanted him re-homed ASAP since NOTHING had been 'right' about him from the get-go. He wasn't the sculpt she wanted, nor skin-tone.... and he was a little boy, not a little girl. So her loss, is my gain. Part of me is still waiting for Nicky to explode. XD

OH! I remember that posting! Yeah, the person who was selling the doll had bought it only seeing pictures of the doll in sweet little dresses, so imagine her horror on taking the clothing off and finding out her "little girl" was a tranny! Poor thing! And of course, you just DO NOT mod a Volks into a girl, half of DoA would track you down and murder you with spare arms and legs.
All you damn kids get offa my lawn!

You'll definately have to let us know what the DOA Volks folks say! I'm juuuust starting to get the Volks bug myself, (traded my Arashi a while ago thinking VOlks wasn't for me after all, but now have an SD Lucas-who I adore- in residence lol). It's funny how charming they are...posing issues and all!

I too am interested in hearing what all you find out. I've been eyeing a Volks Yo-SD for a while actually, since they do make pretty nice Yo's.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
