Also, if you want an even finer line, say, for the individual hairs in eyebrows...you can use a mechanical pencil. That's what I do for eyebrows, it's really easy and it's realistic.

I eventually want to do faceups myself but I'm a little nervous so I will probably get her faceup done by the company for the first doll. Good to know a magic eraser works for removing faceups and staining! I have been repainting barbies a while and I just use acetone/cotton balls. Never thought to try a magic eraser.

I'm surprised no one has jumped yet... using acetone on your BJDs is like wandering down a busy highway on foot, you MIGHT not die... SOME people have managed to not melt dolls, but you never know. Depending on what you have (vinyl vs resin), they can melt, they can flake... it's best just not to risk it. And non-acetone has dyes and can stain. 91% alcohol with Magic Eraser is all that ever touches my dolls, aside from soap and water.

As for faceups... MSC, powdered chalk pastels, watercolor pencils, water colors, acrylics (if you thin it), and tiny brushes. Really sharp, good quality water color pencils can do amazing things.

As for buying stuff... *sigh* I have a clothes horse who tries to claim ANYTHING that comes into the house, of course he has to have shoes to go with... then accessories... etc etc etc... and he's my girly boy so it's equal opportunity dresses vs pants.

Oh no, I would never use acetone on my BJD, I just use it on my cheapo Barbies! The ones I don't care about ruining :D I will definitely invest in the alcohol if I decide to do faceups on BJDs eventually.

If you didn't seal the faceup yet, I heard that you can wipe acrylic paint off w/ thinner (Example: like if you mess up on doing eyeliners with paint, you can dab some thinner on something and wipe it off)
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

you can never go wrong with resinsoul and I'd suggest Junkyspot. they are wonderful to deal with. Msds are great! I have a soft spot for mei's. I kinda want an Ariel myself. For ease on your pocket however I would suggest going with a tiny like an elfkin or lucky fist. Any Lati yellow/pukifee size clothing fits them and they are super cheap to pick up little dresses or outfits on etsy. Most things shouldn't run more than 10-15 dollars for them while msd clothing will usually cost more like 50 to over 100. Plus they are totally pocket-size and easy to travel with which can make meetups less stressful.

Technically the BBB 27cm are the best starter doll, being able to go to walmart and buy an outfit and a wig for $12 is soooooo worth it! Both the MSD and the tinies such as the elfkins or luckies are a lot harder to find clothing for, where as dolls such as Isabella, March and Bei can wear Liv and Barbie clothing, plus their heads are the perfect size for the Liv wigs. :D

Here is my Isabella in a Barbie dress with a Liv wig on.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Your doll is beautiful! I thought about getting a 27mm but I had heard that a lot of them didn't fit Barbie clothes...I guess there is a lot of variation.

Are the 27mm BBBs flat chested or mature? From JunkySpot's pictures it looks like they might be "blossom" type mold...

The isabella mold is slightly bigger chested than the bei but neither has much.

you can see that here Image

I've seen some people add to them with sculpty or whatnot or even just sand around to make them a touch more mature.

This girl here is kayke's and she's sanded her to make her more curvy and mature. I think the result is very cute.

Love what Kayke has done with her girl. Super cute!

I am definitely going to look into the 27mm BBBs now...I was at target and they had a TON of those Liv wigs and clothes so it's definitely worth looking into if it's going to be that easy to accessorize her! Although I would assume the shoes probably won't fit, especially not Barbie shoes.
