Yeh, junkyspot calls all their dolls from RS and BBB Bobobies, it's irritating. Places like DDE have started making the distinction, thankfully, to avoid the confusion. If you want to know what's what, go on Resinsoul's website. All the dolls on Resinsoul's website are Resinsouls. If your dolls have Resinsoul stamps on the back of their heads they are RSs.

Mei, Ju, Ya, Rong, Li, Wu, Jun, Mai, Fei, Song, An, Yao, Lan, Lu, Ming are all Resinsouls MSDs, not Bobobie.
Bobobies are far, far chunkier than Resinsouls.

Bobobie and Resinsoul are sister companies, but not the same company. Bobobie casts Resinsouls and sells them on their website, but they are still Resinsouls. Bobobies are not sold by Resinsoul, however.

Maybe rather than "chunky", it could be described as "less streamlined"? In RS, the parts just all seem to fit together very intentionally and smoothly, while in BBB, I think they look more like they took parts of different dolls and put them together. BBB just looks more segmented, while RS looks like one complete being. I guess neither's wrong, though... I still love both ^.^ (with a preference for RS, lol)

I'm certainly not saying either is bad. I didn't mean to give that connotation. They are just, bigger, bulkier than Resinsouls which are extremely petite. A lot of the people I know that have gotten the Bobobie body have done so because they want a 'chuckier' look for their character. That is how nearly everyone I know with it has called it. I am a Resinsoul girl. I will advocate for them till the end, but both companies have their merrits. It's simply a matter of taste and what kind of look you want your doll to have.

I did provide links on the last page to show people that didn't know the difference, I wasn't expecting anyone to rely on my description alone.

I didn't mean to offend :(
I just wanted to comment on the usage of "chunky". I had no intention to discount the usefulness of your pictures :(

I've always looked at the difference between the Bobobie and the ResinSoul bodies as a human body versus a fae body (hence the blockiness of the Bobobie body while the ResinSoul one is so much more slight). Of course that's just me lol.

Back to topic, I never really noticed until I read this thread. I don't really care either way whether girls are anatomically correct or not though so that's probably why.

I have an MSD RS and she has no line. Maybe the sculptor forgot to carve it! hahaha I hadn't noticed 'till I saw this thread and checked. Jillian (BBB- buff n' blocky bod) has a line.

All of the boys are huge except for my Granado. He's really small. Makes fitting his clothes less of a chore though so it's a welcome change.

Ivan's Sleepy Bit pooks out of his jeans. I don't even bother with Zesty or Happy Bits. They're freakishly huge. Foster too. I thought about sanding them down a bit... but... that would just be awkward since I'd have to sand them outside and with a respirator thingy. I can see it now...

"Hey there neighbor. What are you working on?"
"Sanding doll winkies?"

O___O

Heeheeheeheeheehee
Sanding doll winkies.... I'm going to be giggling about that for days.

I saw someone on deviantart not long ago that actually sculpted "happy" peewees for her boys... and they were very...um... realistic. I was... mildly disturbed. o.O

lol maybe this topic should be changed to "Doll Bits"

Haha thats what the Naughty Bits section is for  Somewhat related, one of the local doll peeps has a boy with multiple bits. She keeps the extras in his head in lieu of brains.
