A very distinguished gentleman

So, I had been itching for another 1/4 sized boy for awhile. Poor Aria was tired of being so out numbered. The original plan was for RS Wu, because I do like him and he is well within affordability range.
With the wonderful gift of monies at Chirstmas I headed to JS to order him. Before I finalized anything, though, I decided to peek into the clearance section. Apparently these poor dolls have been sitting too long in stock and need to make way for the more popular kids, and are offered at a very nice discount. That's were I found the boy who I purchased instead of Wu: a DZ Aaron. At only 5 dollars more than I planned on spending, he was too hard to pass up. What swayed me most was that I have heard that RS bodies are cranky posers, but I already knew that the DZ body he has is very nice at posing.

And, boy, did I make the right decision! I had never even payed attention to this sculpt before, but he is absolutely gorgeous! His sculpt has been retired, which is a shame, because he really is lovely, and there seem to be very few owners out there.

Enough talky- here he is: Aubrey Ebenezer Aldrick IV!

MOC actually still had his fullset outfit in stock, including the boots!

Here's a closeup of his face. He came with with a variant faceup.

While waiting for him to arrive, I figured he would be a bit of an arrogant, pretentious snot, but he seems to be a very nice, if serious, fellow.

Aira seems happy to have another guy in the house, and Aubrey doesn't seem to mind hanging with someone lower class. (he's very polite)

And here re all 4 of my 1/4 DZ kids together. (taken to compare skin tones)

I don't know if I've ever been happier with a doll purchase!

As a side note, though I am his first owner, I have no clue how old he is. He is a white skin, and was in stock long enough to start to yellow. Does anyone out there who has experience with DZ white have a guesstimate on how old he might be based on his current skin tone? (he's my first white) I hear they start our paper white, so comparing him to his wig, I assume he might be at least a couple of years old?

Congratulations! I would guess that he's a few years old.

Yea, he's a few years maybe, but not much. Be prepared, he will eventually turn a quite lovely cream shade that resembles the "natural yellow" skintone more than white. I have a DZ boy from 2006 who has turned that particular shade. It's such a shame that white dolls never stay that way :(

Check his certificate, DZ used to date the dolls. Emory probably ordered him when the doll was first released, also. He does look lovely and it was very lucky you got his outfit too!

I was wondering if that was how it would work! Aria is a natural yellow, so at least I have an idea of where he is heading. I don't mind the color, but I will miss the paleness.

I'll check again when I get home, but I don't think the card had a date. It had a place on the card to fill in his "birth date", but it seems they expected the owner to fill it in on receipt.
I do think he was announced in early 2009, so he could be as old as 5 years old then. What a long time to sit in a box on a shelf!

I love your gentleman! He looks so dapper, and I do like his creamy skin color. I have a white DZ doll (a DZ Freddy) from 2013 but he's still really close to paper white. Even if he will become creamier if he will be handsome like Aubrey I'll probably not mind XD
I second Jobee about the last pic, your family looks awesome!
