The minute I saw her, I knew I had to have her! I put her on layaway the minute she was released and finally made the last payment. She arrived today and I'm a very happy girl. Even the DH said she's gorgeous LOL! I love her super long hair and the henna tats on her hands.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to name her Sonali which is Hindu for 'golden' from what I could find on the net. Can't wait to start some new outfits for her. I'm doing a charity project that has me tied up til the middle of the month but I've already purchased the fabric for a salwaar kameeze.

She is beautiful! I LOVE that look. The henna, the clothes, the pretty long black hair. I would have snatched her up too.

Here she is in her new outfit. I posted it in fashions but thought I'd repeat it here. I've added a dupatta (scarf). I wasn't going to at first because I was afraid it would get hung up in the trim, but actually it's her hair that seems to grab it more often. I'm toying with a sari idea next.

Yet another new outfit. This time it's a choli/lengha/dupatta combo like her original outfit was. It's made from a "Bollywood" pattern by Racoon's Rags, using quilting cottons and beaded. All hand sewn of course. I had to adjust the pattern a bit as the cotton has more 'hand' than the viscose/poly she suggested but these were the colors I wanted. Also made her a necklace and a head/hair decoration. (Beaded edges instructions came from Martha Boers' website.)
