Delilah Dark - first impressions

Well, my Delilah Noir, Dark and Defiant, arrived a whole day early! WOOT!

My first impressions? Well heck, she's got greyish skin, I wasn't expecting that! Makeup is ok - definitely needs touching up to make it better though. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much neon pink in the hair. I mean, I knew there would be some, but they went overboard on this one's wig! There were three thick clumps of pink in the bangs so you couldn't see anything but those - yuck. I say "were" because thanks to my handy scissors they are no more. Of course there is this little bristly spot of pink on top, but I'm thinking a sharpie should solve that problem quite nicely.

Clothing is very nicely made - all of it lined so it won't stain and she even has white leggings under her stockings to protect her legs.

Shoes are cheap and crappy. Soles feel like they are made of frigging metal they are so heavy and it took me 10 minutes to get the strap back through the damn buckle when one shoe fell off. Which led to my disappointing discovery that she has pointy toe feet. I really hate pointy toe feet. I wonder if you can buy flat feet for her in that grey color....or maybe some bobobie feet would work since she has rather small feet for the size of her body LOL. She definitely needs new feet somehow!

Her vinyl is definitely a heavy, hard vinyl - and she took a gainer off my desk without suffering any damage :o Overall she'll be an interesting addition to the dollieh family!

Oh - I've named her Narcissus - the perfect name for a gothy girl.

Yeah, that's one of the two Delilahs I got from the housemate. Love the clothes, hate the wig, not thrilled about the gray skin. She's the one that is either going on the marketplace, becoming a steampunk robot or becoming a zombie. Only reason I haven't sold her yet is because I am waiting for the housemate to move out. Of course she is a comparable size to my little Batchix robot girl, so turning her into a robot could be a lot of fun.

Yea, I was expecting her to be a bit more pale - but not sickly grey - but she's cool. I actually like the wig - just wish there was less pink. I think I like her because she reminds me of an anime character - Witch Hunter Robin. I just hate those high heel feet ><

But high heel feet makes her legs and butt more shapely.
