Princess Ariel 16" Aqua Gown Custom Doll

Whew!!! I just finished my Ariel 16″ OOAK Singing doll in her new aqua gown!!! It took me 2 days to make this one! :faints: One day to make the dress and one full solid day to add all the gemstones in her patterns to her skirt! It goes all the way around the sheer overskirt and I used about (2000) 2mm crystal gems, (200) 1.5mm pale blue/aqua gems and (150) 1mm crystal gems! It came out really nicely and I love her in it! So glad Disney finally gave her her proper theme color official gown!!!

Her gown is a deep aqua casa satin, with a dual layered shimmer sea green and aqua crystal organza skirt overlay and puffed sleeved. Her lower sleeves are a holographic pale aqua and she has a mint petticoat and a stiff tulle crinoline underneath. Her shoes are satin heels and she has orchid ‘seashell’ ornaments on her bust and earrings. I restyled her hair to be more Ariel-like, with a large pouf front and waviness in back, as well as retouched her faceup and blushed her/gave her real eyelashes.

Hope you all like her, too!!? Now, my 16″ Disney girls are complete (unless Moana joins the gang!)

It's a pity to put her in her box, you can't see that dress nearly as well.

Thanks so much, KirahFaye-san, Dark Angel-san and VV-sama!!!! :hugs: I'm so so happy you like it! I think this dress was the longest time I ever spent on a doll outfit! But it was worth it! It's so pretty!!!

VV-sama, you're absolutely right----I had to stuff the gown in the box! :laughs: It's a shame but I have no space to display them out of their boxes, so in she went! I was lamenting the fact as I shoved her in the box that next time I took her out, her gown would be all wrinkled! So you read my mind!

I've been toying with an idea to buy a KidKraft 18" dollhouse (they're like 6 feet tall x 5 feet wide) but again.....where would I put the thing?!

https://smile.amazon.com/KidKraft-Elega ... +dollhouse

And I haven't yet seen one I like enough to renovate my room for. I like the KidKraft Frozen Ice Mansion for 11" dolls (5ft x 4ft) but while huge, it's not huge enough for even 11" dolls. (You know how kid dollhouses always are too small in ratio to the doll? If I bought this, I'd want to put my 4" figures in it, rather than the 11"!)

I'm kinda hoping they'll eventually make an 18" Frozen palace like this. Then I might seriously consider it for my 11" doll set.....

But then again, I hope they won't so I DON'T seriously consider it....
