This is the Welcoming Outfit that Volks was giving with FCS MSD boy dolls up until quite recently. Volks is now introducing a different Welcoming Outfit, so that makes this one collectible as well as just dead solid gorgeous. The obi is on sort of backwards because the knot is in front of the outfit as it is worn by the boy dolls, and with girls, if my memory serves me right, having the knot in the front of the kimono means you are a "lady of easy virtue."

Namiko is usually a bit of a tomboy, so this is an unusually pretty thing for her to wear. Then again she calls this her "Jedi robes" and now she wants a lightsabre. Oh dear. Well at least she's got an outfit to wear for Oshogatsu now. Oh yeah: this is the most expensive outfit I've gotten any of my dolls, at $50. Considering that this outfit is never sold, it's worth it, I think.

Very nice. Any shots of the whole outfit showing the length?

I love that it's white. It looks so delicate.
