I've got a golden ticket... BBB Chocolate Pixie (pic heavy)

I bought Greyhaunt's chocolate Bobobie Pixie, and she just arrived home today! :D She's a little darling. I haven't quite decided what to call her yet.

Image
Image
The box was very well taped. So I brought out my biggest letter opener.

Image
Packing peanuts!

Image
Pretty kimono! I'm going to try to make a black obi to go with it, and she can wear it while we watch the Steelers.

Image
It's got little flowers on it, but the picture's blurry.

Image
Tribble! It's a little small to easily work on her big noggin, though.

Image
Bubblewrap mummy!

Image
Toooooes. And her resin's such a lovely color!

Image
And here she is! Lookit those eeeeeyes.

Image
I spare wig I had on hand...I don't know why or where from. ....if she keeps it, I'm not the only one getting a haircut.

Image
The kimono is very striking on her.

Image
And the golden gown I made for her. It used to be part of an old tablecloth.

Image
I think she's gonna be bald for a while. We'll discuss hair later.

Image
You know...when I was waiting for her I really thought I was bringing home a pretty girl for Peaseblossom to play dressup with. I think I've ended up with Ariel's partner in crime...

Image
Image
Some better shots of the dress. I'm pleased with it and it's my first attempt at putting in a zipper. I think it all turned out pretty well, especially since I did it all really freehand. I made the two tiered gold chain necklace she's wearing, too.

Image
And the shoes, from Dale Rae. ...When I look at them, I think that now I need to get a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood and hair as yellow as corn...

She's absolutely darling, much prettier and more delicate than the official pictures from Bobobie. Her waist joint's just as slippy as Pease's used to be but I'm going to hot glue suede her like I did with my other BBBs. I'm going to have to get start on the other outfits I've got in mind for her soon.

ETA: Got a chance to sit down with her, hot-glue suede all her joints, tighten her elastic, and put a nylon washer in her head under the S-hook to improve her head mobility, and she moves like a dream now. I also took a nice family shot of all my Bobobies together (the front wave of my Bobobie army, one day there shall be one of every color and then we shall TAKE OVER THE WORLD! MUAHAHAHAHA! ...ahem.).

Oh HURRAY!!! She looks very happy to at last be somewhere that she can be spoiled :) I think you are right, there is a gleam to her eye sitting there that says she might enjoy a bit of mischief.

That dress is just lovely - and such a perfect color. How funny that I picked the gold kimono to go with her and you were thinking the same color :)

Congrats on her arriving safely to her new home! And yea, I had fun with the tape gun!

She does look happy! And actually, I picked gold because she was wearing the yellow cat eyes in your pictures, and I thought they looked so nice on her, and I had that tablecloth sitting around since I picked it up for fabric last summer. And I had "I've got a golden ticket" stuck in my head since I decided to use it for her. XD

Thanks! I'm pleased with the dress, it's somehow managed to turn out very like the original idea I had in my head.

I'm looking forward to the weather improving here, I'm sure she'll be even prettier once I put some finishing touches on her face and find her some hair. That doesn't look like it's trying to swallow her head.

Aw! The gold looks so amazing with her dark skin and that dress is so darling~
I think Platinum Blonde would be a nice hair color for her. :)

Hmm, I'd looked at platinum but I've mostly been leaning towards darker golds for the wigs. Maybe I'll see if anyone in my area has any wigs they want to sell that they'd bring to the local meet, try a few things on her. A really pale wig could look really good on her, yeah...

I actually thought I'd lost those cat eyes, and man was I surprised she still had them in! Since they were bought just to fit her I just included them :) Looks like it was all meant to be!

I really liked them on her in your sales pictures, I was thinking about getting her a pair with a round pupil but when I saw that the cat eyes were still in her they were absolutely her eyes! Which works out oddly well because my Sprite up there is already wearing cat eyes, in green. XD So yeah, looks like it really was meant to be!

Weird thing, I had all my Bobobies out for the group picture, later I was trying to figure out why Pixie's waist joint (poor thing needs a real name) was still slippier than my Ariel's, when it's the same body. So I had them both undressed, one in each hand, and the Pixie is noticably heavier than the Ariel. Not by a lot but I could feel it. XD I wonder if it's the size of her head, or something about the chocolate resin...

She is glorious. Love her color and her eyes, and both her golden outfits.
I think the color of the wig suits her--at least, the best I can see.
Now I want to make golden clothes for one of my girls...
