Hey guys! So I'm not sure how many ppl on this forum owns a Yao, Li or Rong but they come on very cute skinny little Double jointed bodies. I like the aesthetic a lot but my one big problem is that they don't sit up by themselves!

Sooooo. I modded my Li. Here are a few pics to see the results. I have a short verbal process and tools list on my blog post but it's all pretty self explantory.











Simple mod but makes me happy! I will do the same to Yao soon.

I have a foredom cause my awesome bf bought me one for my last birthday. It's like a dremel. If you don't have one you can use a craft knife and carefully shave off resin. Don't cut all the way to the pencil line because you don't want to accidentally cut too much. Use a gradation of sandpaper (220 - 800 grit) to wet sand all the way to the pencil line and smooth it out. That way the resin is nice ans smooth and there's no scar.

EDIT: and pls when modding resin in any way wear a good respirator. Not just a disposable dust mask. A good respirator is around 25-30 bucks for the cheapest half face kind.

Supposedly the new RS girls come with a new lower torso that takes care of that problem, and I think you can order just that torso piece if you don't want to attempt the mod yourself.

I did the same thing to my 58 cm RS girl who had the same issues. Haven't done my Li or Rong yet, but I will at some point.

Do you know if they've taken care of this problem on the non double-jointed models, too? I would love for my girl to be able to sit straight and not have to hunch over.

Hm... Ok, please forgive the noob! (still new to BJDs) Are BJDs ever able to sit up "straight"? If I want my Mei to sit, say, on a chair without a back, or on a shelf with her legs dangling over, she always needs to "hunch" over. Is this normal?
