YuHao Tart is here! *Doll nudity warning* NOW WITH A NAME!
Posted: Fri Jun 17, 2011 3:37 pm
EDIT: She has a name now: Elodie Tarte! I named her after a oriental lily. The Elodie Lily is candy pink with double petals, which reminded me of her love for frilly girly things.
Around one in the afternoon, a FedEx truck appeared...and left a package. The box said "FRAGILE" so I knew it was my doll!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! This is kinda late but I had too much fun playing with her. I took my picture with my mom's iPhone 4, which has a rather nice quality when it comes to photos.
She didn't tell me her name yet, so I'll call her U for now (means unnamed.)
Warning: Picspam ahead.
A box!
Popcorns...
Bubble wrap mummy.
*drum roll* TA-DAAAH!!!
Did you have a nice trip?
U shows us her high heel feet. She stole a cherry printed scarf and a green ribbon for her temporary dress. I can tell that she's going to be girly...
I got some freebies in the box, and guess what those were? Re-ments! There are more but I was too lazy to photograph those.
Here you can see her profile. The nose is really point and exaggerated so I might mod it sometime but it's kind of growing on me. Her headcap wasn't as flat as I feared. Oh yeah, and that little dent-like thing on her headcap is where the YuHao mark is stamped in. Also, the space between her eyes aren't exactly a eye long but that looks fine. She'll probably look better with some eyes.
She can stand by herself! I'm not sure whether she's strung well but she doees stand by herself. But sometimes, her joints kinda folds up by itself so she might be strung a tad too tight.
U: I should start collecting my own dolls!
U: My doll stands too!
MoC said that she had popped bubbles and rough sanding marks. I can certainly see that she has some popped bubbles on her stomach but that's not really noticeable. Besides, she's going to wear clothes most of the time. And I can feel the rough sanding marks they were talking about (and that's where some dust and stuff stuck to already) but I think some fine grain sand paper, respirators and Mr. Magic Eraser should take care of that.
I see why MoC wouldn't want to carry them (even as a newbie) having all those minor somewhat noticeable flaws and all, in case there are picky customers looking for perfection and such. But I really like her and she was a total steal! I mean $91?
Now only if the weather decides to cooperate and I get some MSC, she'll have a face up. Okay, if I have time. What's up with the weather deciding to get rapidly hotter as soon as I get my doll?! (last week or so was pretty cool here in Iowa.)
