Found tutorials on making MDD less floppy!

I was lurking at DD forum today and through a couple of links plus a google search, I found these:

http://puppy52dolls.com/tutorial/kips/
http://www.figure.fm/post/en/4503/How+t ... etter.html

The second tutorial has more detailed instructions on dissasembly but the first one also shows the kips being inserted at the ankles.

I don't own a MDD, but it looks like they're posing a lot better afterwards....although they probably can't top Obitsus. BTW, how do their arms do when it comes to posing? And their neck thickness? (okay, here I go with the neck thickness thing again)

Warning: random rant ahead

I'm really happy that I found these tutorials because if I do get an MDD, I probably won't be able to stand them not even being able to stand up by themselves. One of my character dolls I planned will probably have a MDD body (because I'm cheap). Although...I'm not sure how cheaper that would be if I get a head, either sleeping princess or otherwise (maybe a dollfie dream head of my choice but dang, that would get pretty expensive), get the kips (x2 if I decide to experiment with the arm joints as well) and the obitsu 50cm small bust depending on how I like the MDD's neck thickness. Then it might be just cheaper to get the 40cm obitsu (probably with the 50cm small bust) and sell the Alice head, maybe with a face up depending on if I get good by the time I get the aforementioned character doll.

*end of the rant*

So yeah....I hope this helped.
