MSD Centaur

Postby AlmySidaKay » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:16 pm

Impldoll is coming out with an MSD sized centaur girl. She's a bit out of my price range at the moment, but I really love the look of her. I especially the fur around her hooves, one of my few beefs with BBB/RS was always the lack of hoof fur. Best part though, it looks like she won't be a limited. :D Your thoughts?

Actually she's a deer girl, not quite a centaur (who are horses), but close enough :)

I dunno....being a Sagittarius I've been wanting a centaur BJD for ages, but thus far none of them have really appealed to me enough. The SOOM baby ones look like My Pretty Pony hybrids and the bodies have been funky on some of the others. Trista is nice, but I'm just not sold on the animal body proportions :(

I love the idea of an MSD centaur, and a deer at that, but the hooves are awfully hairy for a deer and the body seems too skinny for a horse. Something about the shape of the hooves under the fur bugs me as well. I'd love a little deer, especially if it was possible to get a boy, but being that skinny I'd rather have smooth legs.

I like the body and think that the hair would be really neat to customize. It's all so detailed! And I love the concept of a *insert word for four legged hooved creature/person here* (though I like centaur) in an MSD size. But personally, that face does nothing for me. It doesn't seem as delicate as some of the other SOOM sculpts. Even her antlers seem a little bulky, compared to the sharp features of the larger centaur sculpts.

At Home: Little Ari (Resinsoul Mei), Gilan (Resinsoul Song), Mina (Jun Planning Ai Cosmos), Yukiko (5StarDoll Tong Tong), Julia (Hujoo Yumi), Lion'a (Hujoo Suve), Ella (Jun Planning Hestia Isora), Mint (Fairland Pukifee PongPong, "unnamed thus far" (Hujoo Nano Freya)
Wish List: Delf Ani, Resinsoul Yun/5StarDoll Angelo (f.), Island Doll Emily, BJD Hamster pet

Well since this one is Impldoll and not Soom... that could have something to do with it. I personally would just buy it for the body and then probably sell off the head imo.

That would probably be because Trista is from Impldoll and not Soom.

Impl has some terrific male sculpts across the board but their female faces seem hit-or-miss to me.

She is adorable though. I really like her.

She looks really cool! I think she looks more like a traditional unicorn.

The torso seems to short too, she would be a really cool hybrid to mix together with a smaller doll. :)

This was my thought too, but then it should make sense, because a traditional unicorn had the body of a deer, the tail of a lion, and the head of a horse, if I'm not mistaken on my mythology. I would totally make her into a unicorn! Make a tail and single horn for her? Yes please!

I like the fauna aspects of her, and her upper torso seems pretty nice too. I'm just curious if she would match RS resins if I were to "win the lotto and could afford a cool hybrid". (Keep trying to tell myself I don't need more dolls). >.>
