Both of them are absolutely gorgeous dolls and I am so pleased to have them it's not even funny. I've already taken Arwen out of her Elf Princess finery and put her in normal clothes and Andy at the moment is borrowing a dress shirt and jeans from another doll until I can make him some of his own. I love his suit but not very practical to have him wear it all the time if he is going to be a play doll, and he is. So is Arwen.
I just totally fell hard for both of them. I won't be able to keep my hands off of these two so I put their original outfits away for now except for Arwen's boots which I couldn't resist making a part of her new outfit. They're too cute. I love that style of boots in general, always did and they translate well to normal attire actually. I may actually sell Arwen's dress actually but not her boots. I have an OOAK gray medieval dress already that's very much the right style and that actually has stars on it. I think that dress would really suit her Elvish name's meaning better. The dress she came in is lovely but I could live without it and since I don't intend that she will spend all of her time dressed like an Elf selling it wouldn't bother me too much. It's a quality outfit so I'd probably get near what I paid for the doll besides so that's a plus...
Pics here soon. Not feeling great today. I ate something that disagreed with me last night and my stomach is a mess today. I don't want to lug out the camera till I get Andy's pants and shirt done anyhow. I'm actually going to make him a little pride shirt to go with some white jeans. His permanent stand is going to be some rainbow stairs like the famous ones in the Castro. That will be fun. I've got the wood blocks to make them already. It's been in the back of my mind ever since I first saw him to recreate those stairs for him to sit on. The character is officially out but basically I've decided that this doll is going to be ALL the way out and he's getting a boyfriend too, whether Tonner ever makes him one or not.
