Tonner City Girls...

Postby magkelly » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:16 pm

Have you guys seen these yet? Tonner from Toy Fair. I like. $40 supposedly, $20 for outfits, 16" tall. In a range that I can afford one or two plus maybe the clothes will fit other dolls? I want the RH. I think she's really lovely...

I've seen them and they look really cute! They've got a bit of an Ellowyne-esque face, but a bit less detailed and more stylized. I like!!

The look a bit like Moxie Teenz crossed with the 16" dolls to me. In particular I think they look a lot like Gene Marshall and Alex Ford. It's weird, but it's cute. The RH in particular she looks a lot like a teenager version of the Alex doll. The blond looks a bit like a really young Tonner Cinderella too. There's more pics here. The more I see these. The more I want one!

They're genuinely pretty... I wonder if they'll come to toy stores in Holland. To be honest I highly doubt it...

If I can find the outfits for less than $20, I'm thinking winning!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

They're a bit taller but they look MT size to me which means likely they can share some clothes with the Tonner and Gene dolls I have. Probably not pants or tight sleeves or tight sleeve jackets but likely some shirts, dresses and skirts. Some of my Tonner stuff is too big but I can use some mutual things I've found. More importantly I hope their feet are MT size. I'd love to be able to grab their boots and shoes. Not that my MT are particularly lacking any. I've managed to work that out mostly, but I like their footwear and it would be nice if they could share.

I hope they work with Ellowyne's proportions, I'd love to have an affordable friend for my Ello... But her head is so big compared to other Tonner dolls that size lol..

That's the only reason I don't own one of those. I like her mostly, except for the head size. Though I did get really tempted over the Oz series ones. The Wicked Witch and the Glinda were awfully cute. I love her clothes. I just wish I could afford to buy some. They are hideously expensive. That's why I don't own an Evangeline Ghastly either. She's just completely out of any price range I can afford. Even her wigs and shoes are very pricey.

I got my Ellowyne as a gift from a doll friend in the States that I met on another doll website... I've been terribly lucky
