If you haven't seen the new OZ movie - you really should go!! This is an ABS plastic balljoint doll (non-strung) of the China Girl who is a character in the movie. She is a doll! And it's adorable!! So I had to have the non-limited version.

'She is 14 inches tall, with a removable dress and molded on panties. Her torso is one piece. She has articulation at hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists as well as her head. Head motion is limited to primarily side to side. Her eyes are painted on, and her hair is molded. In the movie she has a crackle glaze but the doll has incised molded lines to represent the cracks. Her feet have molded on shoes. All in all, she is very cute.

Box - now a mess of trash!

Image
Back of box - it has some perforations that do absolutely nothing but shred the back.

Image
And the doll!

Image
Legs - the hips are very posable! I had no trouble with her sitting or standing either!

Image
Torso - showing lack of mobility.

More posing,

And being adorable!

I think she will fit in MSD clothes, but I haven't tried yet. I hope you like her, I do!

Very cute. I seem to remember the character from the original book, but it's been years since I read it.

I posted more pics and a review somewhere, latest buys I think? I got her the other day. The more I play with her the more I just love her. She's totally unique and too cute. About the only negative things I can say about her is her dress could be made of a bit nicer fabric, I wish her neck was a bit more articulated, and that I could take off her plastic hair. The dress situation I am going to improve on. I've got a dress pattern and some china blue print fabric and I plan on making her a nicer dress. But I really wish I could blue wig her. I'd love to be able to do that but I think her head is molded all one piece...

I have her too! I got mine just after seeing the movie. I love that she's the same size as she is in the movie.

I hope you post pics of her redressed. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo tempted to buy this girl because she's one of my fav characters from the book and that she's so nicely done for a playline doll.

If you're debating get her now. She's a top selling doll right now and I really doubt that unless they keep making her she's going to stay at $20. She's already got people on Amazon and Ebay trying to sell her for near 2X that. I don't think you'll regret the buy at all. She's totally cool, and it's a very well spent $20 IMHO.
