Mirodoll body and RS head size comparison shots

Postby Trethowan » Sat Apr 27, 2013 2:08 am

Dude, like there are boobs so there's nudity n' what not. Ye be warned! Arr!!

EDIT: Y'all add in your Mirodoll body shots too for other comparisons. What head did you use? Miro? DZ? Let's see how they look and compare. :-)

This will serve as a reference file for those folks like me who are buying Mirodoll bodies and looking for alternate heads. Since there are different MSD sized heads out there I have taken pictures of the two sizes I have available so you'll know what looks like what.

Image

40cm Lan head, 44cm ??? head, and SD Xue head (for reference.) I guess if you really wanted you could put an SD head on an MSD body. You'd have the ultimate bobblehead!!!

Image

Switchies!!

Next up, random nude poses with said head. I should add one with a wig on the 40cm head but I didn't think to until just now... that's right folks. You've just witnessed stream-of-consciousness while I type. Sad place to be, inside my brain at 4:00 in the morning. I think a cup of coffee and four cups of tea while working tonight was a bad idea....

Notes on this size head. At first I thought it was freakishly small. When I bought it the normal MSD sized s-hook didn't fit and I had to get a YoSD sized one. I think that the head is comparable in size to the Pixiu dragonboy's head. So I was like, WHUUUT? stupid head is tiny! Phoo. Stuck it on the shelf and bought the bigger one. I really didn't give it much of a chance and with these pictures I see that it's really not so bad. Also, it fits onto the neck really well and holds pose quite nicely. The Miro sculpt just has wide shoulders so it threw my eye off a bit. Meh, I like bigger heads anyway. (that could totally be taken the wrong way)

Switch to bigger head. I wish I could remember the name of the sculpt.

Her head is about the same size as Foster's head. I think that it seats onto the neck poorly. It's a little loose, she does feel bobble-headed a bit. I liked it cause I wanted her to have the same large-eyed fairy look as Foster. I really liked the larger head but some may not. Yay for BJD options! <3

Here she is with her wig on. My friend Cat made a super custom wig for me. She's the bomb and makes amazing wigs. I also bought the head from her, so she's the one who did the faceup and some customization on the mouth. So this one's been tinkered with a bit. Anyway, I'm rambling and you've gotten a sneak peek at Shaylee, one of Foster's lovely brides. :-p

I like the larger head myself - definitely fits well with the shoulders LOL. And really, the shoulders wouldn't be so bad if the hips weren't so darn small. But then we'vetalked about that before hahahaha. Which reminds me, I owe you some photos at some point today. Pants done :)

Very, very nice. I'm partial to the larger head too :) The resin match is really nice! Looks the Mirodoll body poses pretty well. I'm going to be ordering my first RS soon and I already miss the non-exisistent thigh swivel. I love crossed-legged poses. But I digress. I appreciate this comp especially as I'm considering a Mirodoll boy body...if only he wasn't so short...Ahh well, whatever.

I also think she might be Li??

Her hips don't lie. LOL I know, that was a new low in my lameness. :-p Yay!! Fun pictures! <3

One vote for Li, ah-ah-ah.

Two votes for Li, ah-ah-ah.

I think that any 1:3 head would look insanely bobbly-wobbly. Ryan's head is about as big as that Xue I posted in the reference shot.

Three votes for Li, ah-ah-ah.

I liked the bigger head and the wild hair, I thought it gave her a more innocent sweet look. Well, as innocent as one can be whilst posing naked on my couch. HAHA

There is a Li-consensus among wise dollieh folk. That's cool. :-)

The Mirodoll DOES pose well, I'm really quite impressed with it. I bought her new hands, very happy about that. I'm also very impressed with their SD sculpts. Those are nice also. :-)

The only thing I did not like about the Miro bodies was the hands. Even her ultra perky tits which I thought looked fake in pics look okay to me in person. But those hands, they have got to go. Both of them look like they have alien hands the fingers are way too long. Has anyone purchased the MSD heads or done face ups with those yet? I got them finally just to have something to put on them, till I can afford the Dollmore, but I have no idea of what they look like with a face up on.
