Well, They Are Here But....

My Miro bodies arrived today but my girl has a wee bit of a problem. She's chipped a bit on her neck. It's deeper than it looks here, jpeg setting blurred it a bit, but you get the idea. Waiting on Miro's response but I'm wondering if I can sand this off without killing her neck? It's right on the fragile part of the neck unfortunately. Head might cover it but then again it might just chip even worse when I put one on too.

Actually, I would fill it with a little Apoxie Sculpt. If it's under the head, it should be ok. The S hook will be supported on the head, not the neck. I would actually take less stress that way than it is now.

The head should cover that completely. You might need to sand the edges a little if they are rough. Or do the Apoxie thing as ZM suggested. If you are going to leave that body headless for any length of time, put a steel washer (3/8" or so) between the top of the resin neck and the S hook. That will help disperse the stress of the S hook's small contact spots over the entire neck area.

Note: So far I'm finding these dolls can wear a lot of Tonner sized stuff. They are both very similarly sized to 16" fashion dolls. They can also wear Teen Trends, and Delilah Noir stuff though Delilah's jeans are a bit big in the waist. Old body I think the stuff is a bit big, but new Delilah her waist is smaller and I'm thinking her skirts and stuff might fit better. I tried DN shoes on her, and they're workable if a little long. I don't think they can wear Tonner type shoes but the slim MSD stuff looks like it might work. On him I want to try on old Delilah's loafers and the Harry Potter shoes. I think they just might work but we haven't tried that as yet. But they are very much fashion doll sized in terms of available clothing. They're more slim MSD's I think than regular ones. The hands are a horror though. Way too long fingered, IMHO.
