Vintage style photography

Postby Aoibara » Sat Sep 21, 2013 12:05 pm

Today, I shall present everybody, my attempt at dark photography, in contrast to my magical-ish photos like before.

As in magical-ish photos, like this.

Image

this was a result from braiding Hizuru's hair with pink ribbons. I think pink goes nicely with her mint green hair.

Well...I have to say on the second photo here, Charles is just playing dead to represent death. The two photos are loosely inspired from the story in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, like the unknowing curse which leads every girl who makes a contract with Kyubey a terrible death from fighting witches or turning into witches themselves. In the second photo, it obviously shows the death without a grisly fate when Madoka purifies and erases (?) the soul gems of other magical girls.

The crystal dagger he is holding is a necklace I bought from Tokyo Disneyland long ago, probably in third grade.

Well, a key to where? The key Hizuru is holding is a keyholder from Walt Disney Studios Paris.

Comments and critiques, all welcome, and I hope you enjoy!

Oh, I changed my icon to my drawing or Charles. Yep. That is what he was supposed to look like. No wonder I applied his ahoge again. ;p

Very nice, I like the black and white. And I love the ribbons in Hizuru's hair!

hey Aiobara, I like all these photographs. Black and white themes are one of the best theme for photography. You have to transform colorful world into memorize black and white photographs. It really demands skills and expertise.
