Special Arrival! - Yamato Heads

Our wonderful vinyl master, K2, was super awesome and let me purchase these Yamato VMF heads!! ^___^ I am squeeing beyond all belief and seriously cannot wait for some time to begin working on these!!

At some point when funds are more prominent, I'm going to pick up another Obitsu 50cm as well -- but that is a long while in the coming.

What are Yamato heads btw?

Yamato Toys introduced its own line (the VMF50s) of 50cm dolls several years ago, based on the Obitsu 50cm body. Over the years Yamato has commissioned Obitsu to make them a lot of custom vinyl parts, including heads. These painted heads are from some of the various VMF50s. The full extent of the VMF line can be found here:

Be forewarned, VMF50s are highly desirable (super sexy Obitsu 50cms), expensive (due to the current horrid exchange rate), and hard to find (Yamato does not currently sell most of the VMF50 line outside Japan).

landwhale - Thank you! though those are stock face-ups from Yamato. I am probably only going to be keeping one of those face-up's. The others I am looking to customize with my own. :3

K2 - And that is why you are the vinyl master. :3 THANK YOU AGAIN!!! Who knew I could be this excited on so very little sleep. Though last night I got a whopping 2 whole hours - how awesome is that? O_o

Thanks for the info! I just took a look at the Yamato site...and I love the bodies. I've been doing research to see which body I should get for Cerise. I get a feeling she is a 60cm curvy girl but I prefer the bust sculpt on the 50cm over the 60cm but the height and hips for the 50cm are too small........The Yamatos look pretty perfect except they are only 50cm. I know there are two member who modded 50cm dolls to use 60cm hips but I also need the height.

Augh......wants what I can't have. Too bad the Gretel head is kinda big....or I would go with 50cm.
