Mr. Man....head (2nd attempt)

I had another faceup spree this weekend. Seems I can do about three heads over the weekend. Mr. Man head got a second chance. He doesn't have a name yet and I've kept him hidden from Cerise in case she starts demanding a man body as well as her 60cm body. (I was getting her one but eeeeeeeeeer the whole thing fell through.)





I think i need to work on his brows a bit more to blend them in but overall i'm pretty happy with him cept for his lashes. Lol...There will always be something I don't like. This is going to be his summer face though so I wont be working on him again for a month or two. Not because I don't need the practice but I really want to play with painting on different sculpts. I also feel his sculpt is so strong that doing a natural face up on him just doesn't do much. I will try a darker eye look on him when it gets colder. I still love the sculpt but I can see my work on him just enhances his sculpt and doesn't really show off a good faceup job.

He looks great. I like a lighter face up on a strong sculpt personally, but it's always interesting to see how a face up can change a doll. I really like your line work, very clean but distinct.

I love him! He looks like a man! I love manly dolls because there's so little of them to go around. All the pretty boys get attracted to each other which leaves the ladies in the dust.

lol...he doesnt have a name yet but he is a Domuya Zen. I haven't found many pics of him online and I'm not sure what is going on with Domuya. Apparently they are still in operation but their website has been down this entire year. I found them last year and considered ordering some dolls.

I want to get him a big buff body in the future. Maybe a Dragon doll or a mirodoll body but the face is so yellowed it might be really hard to match. He used to be a darkish normal skin but the red pigment is all gone so he's just yellowy. The faceup does help though. I think I could work him to match a tan body but not a normal body.
