If you're a Twilight fan

Was rummaging through BJDcollectasy when I spotted dolls made by Raurencio Studio

I haven't read the book or seen the movie but Edward looks much like the pics I see of him. I wonder if his resin sparkles.

The guys are 65cm and Jacob's tanned O_o (Too tall for Megu-Chun to steal). They had to cancel sale due to copyright issues though

Wow. That's the second company that tried to make Twilight dolls. There was another one - I forget which - that made a pair that looked like the actors. They gave them different names, but it was obvious just looking at them that they were Twilight "inspired". No surprise, but I think they got canceled, too, for copyright issues.

Edit: Actually, those dolls looked even more like the actors than these do. Wish I could remember the company name.

heheh, they way I understand it China has very little concern for copyright. Have you guys heard of "Terrain of Magic" and "Universe of Starship"? heehee... it makes me giggle.

Angelsdoll put out Gia, that looked a little like the actress. But she was ruled OT at the Other Forum. I'm not a Twilight fan at all, but I can definitely appreciate the artistic talent in the dolls. XD

Actually I just saw today that Raurencio studios is discontinuing those particular dolls. The announcement was in an article on Bjd Collectstacy.

If anyone DID buy one, can't you imagine how rare that would be. Would the price skyrocket or just fall flat? Would be interesting to see how that plays out.

Not sure why they picked Twilight, seems a little late. Tonner and Barbie already have dolls of them in the a price range that more people can afford.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

I read that they weren't even going to sell them from the start. That it was some sort of stunt to get more people to visit their site and buy their doll since they aren't a popular company. They don't have to do that for me: their Robe sculpt is on my wishlist so haha And I'm not a Twilight fan.
