Well...I have this little addiction problem, lol. I have at least 60 bjds ranging from tiny brownies to 70 cm Dream Realm guy. So I have accumulated a LOT of stuff! I'm actually trying to cull down my collection a little bit and focus mainly on my Vinyls and Mary.

I should talk with all my Tonners and my Barbies but 60 BJD's? Do you folks even eat at your house? I mean do you have anything left over after buying dolls? It's either that or you won the lotto, because the prices on those dolls make Tonner's look like knock off Barbie by comparison. Even the bitty ones are $40. I've looked!

Well, here's the deal. I've been doing this since December 2006, so almost six years. I am also 58 years old, so have a little more disposable income than people who are in college, or have small children, or even kids in college, etc. My husband is an underwater photographer (not for a living- he's a contractor) who travels all over the world. I don't do anything. I don't travel with him and the trips are very expensive. I don't get my nails done, my hair done, go to the gym, buy clothes, go to Starbucks, etc. Really the dolls are the only thing I spend money on. Every time my husband goes on a trip, I figure I am due a new doll. Plus- for every birthday, anniversary, Christmas- normally I get a new doll.
Plus I sell doll clothes (Lastochka) and my book (Resin Life) and actually for the past three years have *mostly* paid for new dolls out of that money.
Plus, I have been given a number of dolls as gifts from people in "The Hobby" for various reasons (and have given some away too).
So it isn't as bad as it sounds!!
But I do have too many and have started selling a few off.
:)
:)
Besides, I think Greyhaunt has more than I do now!!!

You do know I was just teasing right? I probably have more dolls than you do, just not any BJD's, yet. I've bought a lot used and on deep discount and I have my family pretty well trained but still I've spent way too much over the years on doll stuff. It's silly how much doll stuff I've acquired. The idea of that many BJD's does rather blow my mind though, laugh. I have yet to manage my Delilah Noir. I do want at least one BJD and I do think it's going to be Delilah. She's affordable, eventually. I like her outfits. She's the same size as most of my big girls. I like 16" dolls. Don't want one larger I don't think. She'll fit in nice around here. Some of my Tonner boys are almost that big though. I've got 2 Narnia Peters that I think are about the same size as some BJD boys I've seen. The rest are all Tonner Matt sized. They're hard to dress those Narnia Peter's. I've customed mine to look a bit different and a bit older but they're still an awkward size. I'm having a hard time making decent clothes for them. Boy clothes, and particularly pants are not something I'm particularly good at it seems. I may have to resort to BJD clothes for them eventually. I'm just not quite sure what BJD clothes a Peter would fit into just yet. I guess I'd better do some measuring see what you all think. You can probably tell me right off. I start looking at BJD clothes and I just get lost. There's so much variation in sizes that it can get very confusing.

You better watch out! BJDs are like Lay's Potato Chips- you can't buy just one. I had no idea I would EVER get more than one when I bought my first one (an Obitsu Gretel- still my favorite).

I love all of them but I'd say go with wavy pink for summer. :D
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

It's definitely between the first wig (the dark wine-colored one) and the second pinkish one (the wavy one that's kind of pinky-peach.) I would use them both, and switch them depending on the outfit. Darker outfits will look better with the darker hair, creating more contrast with the skin, but in a lighter outfit, the dark hair may make her look washed out. The lighter hair also gives her a softer feeling, whereas the darker gives her a more edgy look. It really depends on what you're going for with her.
