I'm almost finished fixing up my Allison

Postby Trethowan » Thu Nov 29, 2012 10:49 pm

I'm getting my Sweet Dolls Allison elf and his partner in crime the Granado Boyd ready for action! I think I'll introduce them in my next-next photostory. (which I promise won't be 5 more months.) hahahaha... it's already been shot and edited. So this 'next' one will be ready, maybe I can even photograph it tomorrow!!!! That would be nice.

I'm going to call my Sweet Dolls elf Zo, and the Boyd is going to be Gabe. Finally got a character for the Granado, yeesh, it took long enough. I've had the doll well over a year. He had five names and characters that just didn't work. I went with Gabe and "bam said the lady" it's perfect. He totally jives with me now. <3<3<3

I had an idea for the elf when I bought him but as soon as he came out of the box I just knew he'd be Zo. And Zo is fun to say. Zo. Zo. Zooooohhhh. LOL It's short for Alfonzo. I'll post pictures SOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! Oh zo soon. (that was lame wasn't it.)

I've taken an entire summer away from dolls, it's nice to feel refreshed and get back into the hobby again. <3

I've cranked out 6 face ups on some of the tinies I've bought over the course of this year, I'll have to post pics on those on the tinies forum, and I'm nearly finished with the Soom legs project, and I got Gabe's wig fixed up (well, technically butchered yet another trimming job) and some new clothes put onto Zo. Dang. I've been busy.

edit: yay, I can add some pictures.

hahaha.... I was inspired by the Frog Brothers. *snicker*

I'll probably get them both new wigs, you can see the band on Zo's blond wig and I did a wretched hack-job cutting down Gabe's white hair. I wanted him to look more mature but eh, I chopped the wig down so badly I gave him a bandana to hide it. Ended up liking the look. :-)

Adding Abraham! Trifecta is now complete. I'm dabbling around with a little story about these three, it's loosely formed as are all my photostories so things are apt to change. I think out of all the hunters hired on by "The Boss" these are the three that rank the highest kills. The three battle it out for top position kind of like a horse race so I thought I'd call them Trifecta. And it's a fun word to say too.

Gabriel is that Granado Boyd I bought last May, and Abe is the RS Feng, and of course y'all know the Allison Elf. You seriously need to buy one of these little guys, they're so awesome! They pose really well and the craftsmanship is superb. I love him so much!!! <3

"Don't mess with me," says Zo. I loved his eyes. It's cool to get a doll with the perfect eyes already in.

Image

why do they make wigs with bangs that cover the entire face? That drives me nuts.

Image

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE... his little ears are SO CUTE!

Awesome! The Allison elf in my house finally works as he's supposed to after a good restringing. Turns out he had too much elastic in him so I drastically shortened it and put him back together. He was my christmas gift to my partner. He really is gorgeous.

Can't wait to see the next photostory! They're always such fun. And Zo is a fun name. Elf boy doesn't have a name yet.

I haven't thought to attempt any stringing on mine. He seems to be handling pretty well. It's hard to get his head to sit normal though, it juts so far forward in the 'natural' position I tend to keep it tilted down so it looks more natural. Makes him look so pissy that way, hehehehehe.

Mine is one of the tan ones that was cast by FDoll, so he had too much elastic in him. At least it was good elastic, but he couldn't even sit. He's currently simply called "Elf-Boy" because my partner doesn't know yet what to do with him.

I really love his look with that wig! And he looks great in that outfit, with the other two.

Hee, I am excited to see lots of Allison spam.

Love the group. They're all quite interesting and the variety is awesome. ^_^
