Mariko's first time in front of the camera....

The Lady Mariko finally allowed some pictures to be taken. She's quite a lady. A 60cm Obitsu ball-jointed girl with a Parabox large bust and Gretel head. Misheru did the face-up, which I think is fabulous. As I mentioned the other day, she's just a tad bit cute. She's wearing blond hair today, bundled up into a bun and braid with a tendril or two for added cute.

I asked her if I could take some pictures, she told me that she was busy playing on the PlayStation 3, but if I could get some pictures while she played I was welcome to do so. Here they come, I hope you like them...

So, Mariko, will you pose a little for me, or are you just going to play your games?

Thanks, I adore her. Misheru did an excellent job on the face-up. I was just saying to her that even though I knew what I had asked for in the face up, it was only once the eyes were in, the head was on a body and a wig was in place that she really came alive. She's so much...more than I anticipated. It's like the whole is far, far greater than the sum of the parts.

Thank you. Most of my little ladies end up somewhere in the cute minx or smoldering temptress classification - or somewhere very similar. The face-up is awesome, but once she was complete she really started to come to life - so to speak. She's more of a cute minx, but can do smoldering thing, lady-like and even a more modern urban girl kind of thing.

I put together a quick backstory for her, but I need to flesh it out some. It sort of keeps unfolding in my imagination.

She is lovely, and does have quite a little personality too! Obitsu's are very good at being more than you expect, especially the big ones. And most Gretel's are very outspoken too!

I have another Gretel and a Haruka to work on soon. They definitely have their own personality.

I was proud of myself. Highlander kept saying he would commission someone but kept putting it off and I hated seeing her blank. He had an extra head, so I thought I would try and if I screwed up too badly then he could always send the other one off.

I am certainly no expert, but I think she turned out pretty well for an amateur. I like her anyway. She gives my Dollfie Dreams hassle all the time.
