That IS gorgeous, but jeez... why that price? Sometimes I don't understand why hand tailored BJD clothing cost SO MUCH MORE than hand tailored HUMAN-sized clothing... I feel like its just taking advantage of people who already have a price hurdle to jump over.

I think I could make that too.... Imagine that in blues! Oh I could make a green boy version for Andreus. He's a gypsy. I really should posy more of my guys so you know who I am talking about, LOL. I did already make him one outfit that is sorta gypsyish that I embroidered all over. He's wearing it right now. It's not that good but it was my first try at that pattern and I have since adjusted it. I love gypsy clothes...

So I'm not the only one who saw it and started planning out how to make it, and in what colours and patterns then? Excellent!

I can understand some high costs for doll clothes, especially when they are more detailed and even more especially when they are detailed and for smaller sizes, as they can be fiddly little things to do; and I have some doll clothes, (mostly from Dollheart) that are far better made than some of mine  Balancing that out is that less stuff (fabric, trimmings etc) is needed. But whichever way I cut it, $400 seems very expensive for that outfit, however gorgeous it looks! And it is stunning. I have one character who wants that now, and one on the way who would probably look good in it, too. In both cases scaled down to MSD size.

That. BTW, that reminds me I should see if the outfit I commissioned from you will fit my Lishe (size and style).

unless that fabric is some kind of high end silk and the ornaments are real gold I don't see that outfit warranting so high a price. It's layered skirts and scarves - nothing overly tailored. But you know, someone out there will probably pay the price.
