:laughs: I've never seen this series/game? but we also made the cosplay costume of Miku (and Rin) and when we did those, we had to make a 'stuffed plushie leek' for the cosplayer. It was really cute! Why does Miku carry a leek around? 0_o

The Vocaloids are actually a bunch of voice synthesizer programs and with the right person they can be made to sing really good songs. And somewhere along the way people just like their music/image and their popularity grew and people cosplay them according to their default look or base on their song outfit or gender bent version.

As for the leek, somehow it just became associated with her.

A video with "Hachune Miku", a super deformed Miku, holding a leek and singing "Ievan Polkka", is what led to Miku also being commonly associated with leeks.

Also here is the video that got me into Miku, it's a concert video of her singing World is Mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTXO7KGHtjI

It's actually quite a trip to watch for the first time, because she shows up pretty well on video. I have most of her CD's and had I lived in LA I would have gone to the concert in a heartbeat, but sadly I'm far away, and that was her only American concert so far.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
