The Obitsu WS definitely matches the MiroDoll NS.

I've actually done that type of hybrid with a vinyl Volks Dollfie Dream NS head on a Miro NS body, which both match Obitsu WS very closely. (Volks DD NS is a near match to the Obitsu/Parabox WS.)

The first picture below shows the group shot. The 2nd doll from the left in a poufy black dress with hat, is a Miro NS body with a Volks NS DD head: (head has been blushed so it appears a little darker than the body.)

Additionally, the 3rd and 4th dolls (guy in orange stripes and girl in pale aqua dress with argyle tights) have Obitsu/Parabox WS heads so you can see how the Obitsu WS compares to the body as well since they're standing close to the Miro body. Again, all the heads have been blushed, but you can get a pretty good idea. The skintone is VERY close. Miro might be a PINCH lighter, but just ever so slightly, if anything:

Hope it helps!

Yes, it give me some idea about their skin match, lucky they're wearing black cloths, so it's more easier to see even after they had been blushed.
Now I'm going to buy the WS head as soon as possible, after hearing lot of people giving answer, it really reassure me a lot that they match really well

By the way, is the eye is from decal or painted? It's nice, I'm considering option for my doll eyes... :)

Glad it helped a bit!!

The eyes are handpainted to be the 'Amnesia' characters Ikki, Rika, Toma and Arisu.

Thanks again!
God bless

I think it would all work out very well. The biggest issue you'll have is attaching a vinyl head to a resin body since the connectors are different. There's a tutorial out there somewhere that tells you how to do the conversion.

I poked around in my boxes and found my Obitsu, but I can't find the Miro. I might have put Patrick in with someone else. /sigh. It's hard to get to them, they're sorta buried under a mountain of comic books. Ha.

One of these days I'll get settled in the new house!

Is it true :o ?? I thought I just need to pull the S-hook to the head like other head.
If anyone can provide the tutorial, it really help me a lot :D
I also thought about changing the mirodoll bust to obitsu bust for a medium size, not big or small like the one that is offered at Mirodoll website (maybe it was weird for the material combination and I heard vinyl is prone to staining)

I too have a lot of comic book and if I don't put it back, I think I can make a nice mountain/hill diorama for BJD lol
Good luck for the new house!

Ah, you can't switch a resin bust for an Obitsu bust without a LOT of additive sculpting/modifications, if at all.

But you can use an Obitsu head on a resin body---you'll just need to find a good 'washer' type piece to keep it on. ^^

Yeah, looks like it is impossible, I should have buy the bigger chest and mod it into a medium one rather than buying the small one, I guess it's not my luck, but it's better to have my first BJD than nothing ;)

What do you mean by 'washer' type piece? Something I need to hook on the head?

something inside the head to put the elastic through before s-hooking it. otherwise the hook will just warp and wreck the vinyl.
i use a loop of very thick wire, but washers work too. just make sure to grab one with a big enough hole for the elastic, but not big enough for the s-hook to slip through.

Image

earlier, i did not do this, i just sanded a small groove for the hook to sit in. it ripped right through the vinyl. so, the washer is totally needed.

i can vid putting it on if you want.

Oh, I do know that vinyl is more softer than resin but I don't think it's this weak, good thing that I ask first, or I may wreck my first head

Video tutorial is great, I would like to watch it so I won't make mistake, thank you!
