Thank you very much for trying, although the result is not what I hoped
I was thinking about L position too, I bit afraid that the wig can fall out like what Kirahfaye experience, although I can make sure it will not fall out easily.
The main concern is, I'm thinking to bring my BJD anywhere with me for vacation and mostly there will be lot of flight. It's not my cup of tea to bring 2 bag with me everywhere. Also, I would be very disturbed if many people see me carrying my BJD with 'disgusted face' in the airport (convention and other related activities is better than public)

Even if I'm a woman, most people will think carrying doll is only as childish activity... I don't care much about public opinion but being in a bad 'spotlight' is a different thing :|
That's why, I'm finding a way so her head is hidden or not too noticeable...

Maybe I should ask in other thread about how member in here shrug off public opinion, to see if I can get an idea or two ;)

well, if you're talking about packing it in your stored-luggage, laying it flat between layers of clothes is probably the smallest and safest space it can take up. but in your carryon it gets a bit trickier. you could try sitting it in the bottom of the so it's a seated L. if it's in it's cloth sack it will be protected from the other items inside.
i'm a one bag traveller as well. i still haven't figured out how to do it on flights with a big doll >.< (i tend to travel by bus or train typically)

Kiki-chan78 travels with dolls a lot, and she wraps then in plastic wrap in her luggage, They stay protected and she hasn't had one break. For carrying through airports, look into an actual doll bag. They are big enough to use for all your own personal needs too. I have a Yoga bag that I use, It has pockets and I can easily carry both a doll and purse necessities in it. Or look into a nice knapsack, that works for many people. Again, plastic wrap the doll, usually with the arms crossed over the chest if you are not planning to pull the doll out during the trip. Personally, I just carry Hazel. In New York, I only had ONE couple that looked at me with disapproval, everyone else was admiring the doll and wanting to see her! I have gotten to talk to some very interesting people this way!

About your washers - I use the plastic inner cap from pill bottles. You have to pry it out, then poke a hole for the elastic, but since I use a lot of prescriptions I always have plenty of them. I have used this with both resin and vinyl heads.

This is Trina - she is a Volks MSD Normal Skin with a White Skin Obitsu Designer Head 60HD-F08W that has had the eyes opened up by Kiki-chan78:

She has a donut made out of a chunk of resin that was cut off another dolls neck:

This is what I could have done instead:

Using the pill bottle that Hazel is holding, I take off the cap.
Inside the cap is a plastic inner piece that makes it child-proof.
I pull out that piece, which you can see in the next picture.
Then I cut the outer edge off, leaving the inner section.
There is a dot or dimple in that which I poke a hole in to pull the elastic through.
I have attached head this way, but I don't have one handy to photograph.

I hope this helps!

Wow, how do you know that I was using designer head instead P-chan? :o But weird, if you using it for MSD but still look proportional, if I used the head on SD, it will look too small??

Anyway, I also have read the plastic bottle washer but haven't find tutorial for it so this help me as an alternative material.
For travel, all my necessities always inside my check-in bag, since I have said in my previous post that bringing 2 carry-on bag inside airport is too much for me.
I have actually search for doll bag but most bag is too big that it can have 2 or 3 doll inside while I only have one. I was thinking to place her in my hand bah with white cloth and face protector too. Just wondering about her head will be seen by lot people...

depending on the style of handbag, she might fit entirely inside while seated. it just depends how deep it is. you won't know till you try! tug out the bags you normally use for carryon sometime and see which one she fits in best. you should be able to pack your other carryon items on top of her legs. you might even be able to leave her inside the satin bag the mirodoll bodies come in and pack her that way if you're worried about scratches.

Thank you for the nice recommendation! Now I get an idea to make like parka clothes with hood for my doll and will use it on her when she will go. So if people see it, they just thinking as something from fabric (wallet, case, scarves, etc) that poking out of her head. This also insure her wig not to fallen out.
Unless someone see it from near, they won't know it is a doll head ;)

Can you let me know how tall when a Mirodoll girl is sitting in L position? Wanted to see if my handbag going to be sufficient.

She's a permanent resident, and one of Hazel's Ladies-in-waiting.

Twinage, I totally was not thinking! When I travel, my carry-on bag is actually a sewing machine traveling case. I bought it on sale at a fabric store. It has wheels, collapsible handle, regular handles and is actually padded! It also has many outside pockets. It fits in the overhead bins and is the same size as regular bags except that it is wider and shorter when it is rolling. I have packed even my 70cm in it in the L position. It is the perfect traveling bag if you are only taking one.

Trina's head would work fine on an SD size body. Her head is the same size as a Gretel head. The Volks MSD have large heads and the bodies are very square and chunky. The designer head is actually sold for the 60cm dolls. I will out her on an sD body to show you.

I was thinking to my doll looks anime/manga kind, which is usually have lot of larger head than usual. Mirodoll girl shoulder width is said to be 11cm, I'm not sure if the head will be sufficient enough (I measured my designer head and it is just 6cm, when I'm going to modded it, probably lesser than before)
Siead said that with Gretel head, her Sophia become 58cm from 48cm, so I assuming Gretel head is bigger since the designer head only 8cm tall.

I have a ton of question to ask just because the body won't be here and possible till new year, I wish I can have it sooner
Thank you for going to take the picture in SD picture, this will help a lot and give me some image on how my doll head works.

Obitsu Designer head and Gretel head (modified)
Image Image
As you can see, they are the same size. The eyes on the Designer head sit lower, but that is the style.

Image
This is on an SD SweetDolls Alice body. She is pretty busty, and probably the same size as the Mirodoll.

Image
And with hair - very anime! I think your doll will look fine!
