Well, after a lot of prototypes, this is what I've ended up with. The goat hair is really soft in places and makes such a natural short-hair look. Thanks again VV for the tip!

Even though I made three test runs to make sure my pattern was a perfect fit, the final version STILL has a bit of wiggle room. Plus I'm not sure how I want to keep the sideburns down.

With the flash you can see more of the details (and flaws) and the hide underneath along the sides. The flash always makes his eyes look like they glow.

Amazing! It's really hard to make a good short hair wig, and you've done it!

Nice job! Would Macks silicone ear plugs work to hold the sideburns?

Thanks guys! <3

Hey, that's an idea. I don't have any silicone but I have lots of poster putty. I'll try that. Or hot glue! hahaha

Or I could bolt it in and he'd have Frankenstein bolts. LOL

That looks good on him! Maybe you could glue some spare goat hair over the hide that shows?

Did you run a hot knife or a woodburner over all the edges to make them curl under and give you a natural look rather than a cut-leather look?

I think it looks terrific on him, very natural!

AH! I forgot that part. Back to Amazon I go. Thanks! The color is just perfect for him.

Kirah, I did think about placing more hairs in some of the thin spots and over the seams.
