I'd forgotten I hadn't posted his box opening here!

After almost 7 months of waiting my Dolores finally arrived!!!!! Unfortunately, Denver Doll forgot to pack my event Russel with him :( But I gave them a call and they've since rectified everything

giant box! With a conveniently placed package XD

interior!!

pretty orange bag!

gorgeous card :D

bubble wrap mummy!

he's free! and gorgeous! And strung SO tightly XD It's going to take a bit of work to get him a little less snappy, but I'm in love with him already! The jointed fingers and toes are so much fun :) I tried to get him to stand, but his tightness and the extra jointing were having none of it so standing pics will have to come later lol

I'm not exactly sure what his name is yet-and I'm still trying to figure out who he's going to be, but he's so very pretty :D

the conveniently placed package was my pre-order for Gerard Way's Hesitant Alien which I've also been waiting forever for...so this kind of had to happen XD

I can't wait to see what you do with him - your dolls are always so uniquely lovely!

Doll Chateau fascinates me, but I've yet to have one "call to me". Perhaps one of these days - meanwhile I shall utterly enjoy yours!

Wonderful! I'd put the Dolores on my Wantsies list but haven't gotten up the gumption to buy one. How do you like the extra joints? I can't wait to see what you do with your new boy. He's fantastic!

thanks so much :D This sculpt has been haunting me forever it seems like lol-I'm curious how he's going to unfold

The extra joints are fun-I've actually taken out the neck joint as the proportion was creeping me out lol My only complaint is that the extra ankle joints really mess with his stability

the blank sculpt is really beautiful in person :D

I thought it might cause standing problems. It makes sense of course, the ankles are always a touchy spot as it is. Having two would just further weaken things. I'll bet a little wiring would get the Dolores very solid again.

I'd wanted to make a creepy wraith-type creature. I might go the MSD route though and incorporate it into the fairy realm. Eolande has plenty of ghouls and spooks about. I love that creepy neck! I would want to do big bug eyes and a sideways stare. Bahahahaaa!!! So creepy!!!

Oh awesome! How are you liking those finger joints? I want so badly to see some DC jointed hands in person.

Congratulations! That's a long time to wait - although I can beat it with the nine months I waited for my Custom House Cebee (yikes).
He's fabulous. I can't wait to see him with one of your wonderful face-ups!
