Resinsoul Pic Spam...after a long hiatus

To make a long story short - I fell in October. I waited too long to see the doctor. I have other spinal issues anyway - so I made those worse...so dolliehs were pretty much off the table and they were...um, well, I hate the sound of resin screaming. It makes me feel so GUILTY and this guy? Puck? Um, well, there's a word that rhymes with Puck and I don't want him to be messing around with any bad ju-ju or hoo-doo or voo-doo that he seems to do so well.

Since I'm medicated - and will see doc again Thursday, I'm totally spoiling myself (and making sure that the resin family doesn't curse me behind my back). It's bad enough that one of them is positive that she's a ghost right now...and another one likes to play with dead rats.

Here's the ensuing photo shoot (I've decided to give my digital a rest - these were shot with b/w film in my Pentax K1000 workhorse with a Lensbaby Muse and the 4.x aperture disc).

P.S. This reminds me. I need to clean the scanner bed.

Thank you! That piano is a TOY piano...an old Schoenhut that I found for $10 at a junk shop! I saw that and just KNEW that I had to get it!

Thank you! I'm looking at some of the American Girls stuff - like the guitar in the case and the lute. We have a cello - if the 1/6 girls use it...or a viola for the larger 1/4 - 1/3 dolls use it. They're pretty musical around here. I'm just really glad that none of them look like David Cassidy or Susan Day. All that velvet and lace would get to be pretty expensive!

I've wanted one of those shoenhut pianos forever. I do have a little baby grand piano, but it's electronic and doesn't work like a real piano (more like a keyboard).

This one is pretty old - made from wood. There are no strings to it...just heavy wire that the hammers hit. It's also missing part of the foot on one leg. I got lucky the day my husband and I went to the junk shop. The newer Schoenhut pianos are out of my price range what with the added hobby of film. I Googled some of the grand pianos and they're around $80. I just don't want to spend that much right now for one...and we are still trying to find a spot to set up a 'room' for the dolls. We're slowly but surely working on the basement living room to set up as an area for indoor photo shoots. It's just getting the storage areas figured out as there is no furniture in the basement living room.

I just ordered some darkroom paper (Ilford Multigrade IV RC Deluxe Resin Coated VC Variable Contrast Black & White just as side info) to use for the old Brownie model 2 box camera that I got from the same place...plus more chemicals to develop film/paper (Kodak D76 developer and regular Kodak paper/film fixer). I'll experiment around with the photography and dolls some more...and look into tinting the paper in the developing process. That's a heavy discussion with the husband. He's worried about the chemicals.

And now I'm rambling. Sorry.
