Reborn.......

Almost a 2 1/2 years ago, I bought a Soom Lazule. I really loved the head sculpt! I couldn't wait to play with him, so I bumped him up to the front of the line and did his face-up. He appeared in one of our photostories as Khyowah Wayans (translated: Snow Wolf). We had big plans for fitting him into our stories, but we had so many other irons in the fire that he didn't get worked in. I was kind of sad about that because of who he was going to be. Here is what he looked like back then:

My husband told me just this year that he was never really very fond of Khyowah and encouraged me to try another face-up on him and make him more manly. I kind of resisted, but the truth was he needed freshened up since he had some rubs and stuff from play. I'd also had much more face-up practice since I last did him. I decided he would be someone entirely new. Please meet Noah Remmington:

Now that it's done, I'm loving him all over again....maybe even more so.....LOL! It's like getting a whole new doll! And everyone needs a new doll from time to time, right? Oh yeah!

His new look reminds me of a deadly kung fu guy from a Hong Kong comic series. He looks so different from his old self, much more mature.

If his hair is shorter he would have been a better looking version of Kogoro Mori of Detective Konan

I had such a good chuckle over the reference to Ran's father! Whenever that man laughs, I just crack up! (We have 5 seasons of Case Closed here! Plus movies!)

Thanks for the compliments on his new look, Iwa_Hoshi!

With either face-up, he's a dreamboat. Gorgeous guy -- good work!

Oh, he's so beautiful! You know what I can't get over? His eyebrows and the blushing around his eyes in the second faceup...just gorgeous.
I'm a sucker for some pretty eyes. XD

Thanks, richila. I think what initially drew me to the Lazule sculpt was the appearance of a calm demeanor. So peaceful.

Thanks, maywong.......I like both, too!

Thank you, Mary Kathryn. I'd never done facial hair before and really wanted to try it. After wiping it off at least 4 times, I finally got it to work. Looks like my hubby's mustache!

Thanks, claws! Over the past couple years I've learned so much about doing the shading on these faces so that it brings out the natural contours. The eyes that I have in him are Eyeco Smokey Topaz. I love that color so much that a few of my other people have them in, too. They photograph so well!
